World Sindhi Congress condemns the Operation of Pakistan Military forces on Balochistan

World Sindhi Congress is deeply concerned and anxious at the current situation in Balochistan. The military and paramilitary forces of Pakistan have started a widespread operation in various parts of Balochistan using heavy air and ground equipment.

We demand from the Pakistani government to stop this illegal operation immediately that they have started to suppress the democratic movement of Baloch people and to peruse their colonial designs of the construction of Gawadar Port and army cantonments.

Speech By: Balach Marri in a conference organized by World Sindhi Congress (WSC) on 21.9.02

Mr. Chairman,
Honorable Guests, Ladies and Gentleman.

We have gathered here to mourn the plight of the oppressed Nations in Pakistan. I will try to be as brief as I can so as to save the time for other speakers who will follow here after.

We have a long history of repression and oppression.  Since the inception of Pakistan, Sindh and Balochistan had repeatedly been bullied, butchered, exploited and maltreated by Punjabi elite.

May I remind you here that it took Pakistan a good 9 years to frame its first constitution in 1956. This delay was at the behest of Punjabi elite who wanted to avoid the 8% majority share of East Pakistan as per their population and bringing it at par with the West Pakistan (present Pakistan). Thus forcing East Pakistan to accept the formula of parity in all walks of life.

"August 14, 1947 - August 14, 2002: Fifty-five Years of Occupation and Oppression"

Sindhi Baloch Forum (SBF) calls upon all the human rights defenders, political, social and environmental activists; to join us in a rally to protest against the on-going social, cultural and economic exploitation of Baloch and Sindhi nations in Pakistan.

Baloch and Sindhi nations were annexed to the newly created state of Pakistan supposedly on the basis of "Pakistan Resolution of 1940", which promised, autonomy and sovereignty to its constituent units. But, this promise of autonomy and sovereignty was never fulfilled. The entire state remains dominated by the Punjab nation. This has resulted in an incredible sate of economical, political and social hegemony and a terrible human rights violation. Since last fifty-five years Baloch and Sindhi people are subjected to:

Speech by: Balach Marri "A brief history of Pakistani oppression against Baloch people"

The People of Balochistan struggle for right of self-determination has its genesis in history and culture. Strongly believer of independent, the people of Balochistan have never accepted hegemony and domination of Pakistani establishment in any stage in 55 years history of Pakistan.

We Baloch never accepted alien domination of Punjabi supremacy. We have been engaged in a constant struggle for self governance since last 55 years which resulted in sever military operation by Pakistani Army in Balochistan and forced migration and displacement of thousands of Baloch’s to Afghanistan and other parts of the world.
