Two dozen blasts and attacks in Balochistan on the eve of the nuclear
test in Chaghi
The main railway lines between Quetta with the rest of the country was
disabled at two points as dozens of bomb explosions shook Balochistan,
just Quetta had seven blasts on Monday. Six people were injured in these
blasts and scores of army personnel killed in Marri and Bugti areas.
While Baloch Freedom Fighters carried out several attacks on Pakistani
army camps and posts, killing at least 25 personnel and injuring several

Hundreds missing in conflict-torn Balochistan

The number of disappeared people is very high. We have hundreds of
names, and are in the process of verifying them," Zahoor Ahmed Shawani,
an advocate and the vice chairperson for HRCP in Balochistan, told IRIN.
The number of missing exceeds 600, he said, while some political
organisations in Balochistan say that up to 1,000 people could be

Pakistan asked UK to hand over 8 Baloch Leaders in return of a terrorist

Pakistan has asked Britain to hand over eight suspected members of the
Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in a trade-off for extraditing to Britain
Rashid Rauf, suspected ring leader of the alleged plot to blow up
transatlantic airliners. Although Britain proscribed the BLA in 2005, it
will be difficult to extradite Baloch nationalists as Pakistan regularly
