The railway link between the provincial metropolis and rest of the
country was cut off after the main railway track was blown up here late
Thursday night, meanwhile two ISI personnel killed and three injured in

Fighter jets, helicopter, gun ships bombarded the areas of Dilband,
Johan, Splinji and Pari. The bombardment started at dawn and continued
all day. Thousands of Pakistani army cordoned off the entire area and
fighter jets bombarded the areas of Dilband, Johan, Splinji and Pari
indiscriminately all day on Monday. It’s feared that many local people
have been killed in these bombardments. News coming from the area

Govt hoodwinking nation: Asma: Missing people
Human Rights Commission of Pakistan chairperson Asma Jehangir has said
the government is deceiving the people on the missing persons’ issue as
it wants to perpetuate the practice. She said the HRCP provided a list
of 148 missing persons with its petition. Of them, 104 were from

A police constable killed and another critically injured in an ambush by
Baloch insurgents in Quetta, Two Bugti tribesmen were seriously injured

Landmine kills Qesco technician
A technician of the Quetta Electric Supply Company (Qesco) was killed on
Tuesday when he struck a landmine during the repair work on one of the
four towers of 220 KV double-circuit and 132 KV transmission line which
were blown up on April 1 2007 in subversive acts in Bolan district. BLA

HRCP accuses FC of raiding Baloch houses
According to a press release on Tuesday, the HRCP alleged that the FC
had left several hundred families homeless by setting their homes on
fire. They burnt the houses of local people, took away a large number of
cattle, cash and jewelry,” he said. He alleged that and five people
