BPLF claims responsibility
QUETTA: The Baluch People’s Liberation Front
(BPLF) has claimed that it had carried out the rocket attack on the Chinese Oil and Gas exploration team in Sunny region. A message e- mailed to Balochistan Express shortly before mid-night on Wednesday night said that the BPLF would continue to carry out such attacks on survey teams and not allow anyone to plunder it resources.
A Driver Bacha Khan was killed, three others, a Chinese engineer and two of his Levy guards were injured in a rocket attack on Monday night. They belonged to the Geophysics Prospers, a company hired by the Premier Oil Company for undertaking surveys and exploration work.
The local administration has rounded up a number of people, including notables for questioning. The administration officials did not disclose their names. The work on carrying out surveys for exploration of oil and gas discontinued following the rocket attack.
