BSO and 4 others organizations being banned
KARACHI: The Federal Government has decided to ban the Baloch Students Organisations
(BSO) and four other students’ organisations for political reasons.
According to well-informed sources, the Government reportedly took the decision for internal political reasons.
The other organisations are the Mutehada Students Mahaz affiliated with MQM (
Altaf), Imamia Student Organisation (ISO) with Tehrik Jafria which is already banned, Sipah-I-Sahaba Student Organisation affiliated with
Sipah-I-Sahaba, a sectarian organisation already banned by the Government and the Jiye Sindh Students Federation affiliated with the Jiye Sindh Tehrik founded by late
G.M.Syed.
The Government is expected to ban all the factions of BSO, ISO, and Jiye Sindh Students Federation. Offices of all the students’ organisations to be sealed as was done in the case of political and sectarian organisations on Jan 12 last. The Provincial Governments will take necessary action implementing the orders of the Federal Government.
The Provincial Home Departments were made responsible for the necessary action. However, it is not known when the decision will be implemented.
