Protest in front of Balochistan governor’s house

Family and relatives of the Hafiz Saeed and Asghar Bengulzai staged a protest rally in front of governor house here on Tuesday. The protestors were carrying banners and play cards in their hands and were demanding surfacing of disappeared persons.

President oh the Human Rights Commission Balochistan Chapter Advocate Zahoor Shahwani, Central Vice President of the National Party Malik Abdul Wali Kakar and Advocate Sadiq Raisani were also accompanying the protestors.

Zahoor talking to the media men said that relatives of Saeed and Asghar are on hunger strike for the last four months but no one has done any thing for them and their disappeared near ones. He said despite provision of relief to the people by the present government they are being ignored. He demanded the government to help the relatives of the disappeared person. 2.11.05
 
BSO to launch movement against colonialists

Baloch Students Organization will launch a movement against Nau Abadkars (colonialists) from October 15, 2005 and ban all their trading activities across Mekran and other areas of Balochistan.

This warning was hurdled by Secretary General BSO Mutahidda Yousuf Baloch at a Press conference here Sunday afternoon.

He said a Nau Abadkar is one who has landed on Baloch land after Nov 3, 1839. He said situation has changed to a great and Baloch nation can not be crushed by force or torture any more. He said anger, bare footed protest, march, long march, hunger strike and fast unto death shows that Baloch reject what he said unnatural access and colonial structure. We would launch a movement against this at the cost of our lives.

He also warned to launch a protest movement in all the zones under BSO Mutahidda against state terrorism, kidnapping, garrison across Balochistan.

It would also include demonstrations, ghera jalao (arsoning) and pathrao (stoning).
Asked why BSO or Baloch don't seek assistance of courts for resolution of their problems, he said ours is colonial structure and we do not recognise its judicial system.

Answering a question he said we also strongly condemn raids at the residence of Ghulam Muhammad Baloch Chairman Balochistan National Movement (BNM) and 8 years conviction in absentia etc. 10.10.05

Protest against illegal detentions

Women and children again took out a procession on Tuesday demanding the release of all political detainees, including Ali Asghar Bungulzai and Saeedur Rehman Bungulzai.

The protesters assembled in front of the hunger strike camp established by the children of Asghar Bungulzai and chanted slogans against the government. The protesters were holding the placards inscribed with slogans against the illegal confinement and the violation of human rights.

The protesters marched towards the Governor’s and Chief Minister’s houses but when they reached near the general post office the police stopped the agitators.

Malik Wali Kakar of Balochistan National Party (Mengal) and Nasrullah Khan of Ali Asghar release committee spoke to the protesters on the chowk and condemned the government’s lukewarm attitude towards the government.

Speakers demanded that either the activists who were in the unlawful custody of law-enforcement agencies should be freed or produced before the court to prove the charges against them. 5.10.05
