Baloch protestors gathered in front of the Karachi Press Club in opposition to the Pakistani military operation in Balochistan

  The protest demonstration organised by the Baloch Student Organisation (BSO) (Azaad), Malir Zone party, protested against the ongoing invasion and brutal military operation of the Pakistani Army in Balochistan. The activists rallied outside of the Karachi Press Club, where hundreds of Baloch from all over participated in the demonstration. Participants expressed anger and condemnation against the Pakistani Army and President Gen Pervez Musharraf regime. The protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the government demanding an immediate halt to the military operation in Baluchistan, their demands included more autonomy for the province and an end to military cantonments.

  Thousands of paramilitary and army troops, backed by fighter jets and gunship helicopters, have brutally bombarded the oil rich areas of Bhamboor, Sarth Aaf, Siya Gari and Zain Koh district of Kahan and Dera bugti and all of Balochistan. Scores of innocents Baloch’ including women and children have been martyred in the current fierce attacks by the Pakistani Army.

  Whilst addressing the protest rally in front of the Karachi Press Club, Mr Sana Baloch, Vice Chairman of BSO (Azad) claimed that less then two hundred innocent Balochs have been arrested and taken to unknown locations by the ground forces. In a more recent attack Pakistani secret agencies raided Nawabzada Hayrbiyar Marris house in Quetta, and arrested his watchman Mr. Abdul Rasool, his location is unknown and it is believed that he will suffer at the hands of his persecutors.   Protesters appealed to the International Organisations, specifically the United Nations and other Human Rights Watch Organisations to take notice of 60 years of Pakistani atrocities against the Balochs, and free the Baloch Nation from Pakistani atrocities. The BSO Malir Zone went on to criticise the demolishing of the Baloch Gotes, Noordeen Gote and Sidique Gote in Malir for allowing the settling of the Punjabis settlers in these districts by the Pakistani Land Mafia. In a recent press release, it was alleged that the Pakistani Land Mafia is trying to demolish The Baloch Gotes by gunpoint said the spokesman of BSO Azad Malir Zone. In an urgent please it was requested that the Pakistani Land Mafia stop the exploitation of the Balochs settlements, else the BSO Azad will be forced to take a stance against the Sindh Government and Land Mafia.
