Policemen beat Marri tribesmen

Police baton-charged the Marri tribesmen, injuring several children and women, and fired teargas shells in a raid on Marri Camp in the New Kahan area.

Tribesmen protested when police began a house-to-house search for illegal weapons. 

Police reportedly dug up the Marri graveyard in their search for weapons and fired into the air to disperse the protesters.

The capital city police fired tear gas shells injuring several children and women and an operation was in progress in the Hazar Gangi area. 14.03.05
