Sardar Attaullah Mengal President B.N.P Convener P.O.N.M

A news item appearing in Dawn of 2nd March relates to the visit of Moin Haider the interior minister of Pakistan to Quetta to shoot his way through for the exploration and exploitation of underground wealth of the people of Balochistan for the requirements of our colonial masters "Punjab". As this news item indicates the failure of the provincial governments to be that callous to deal with the matter ruthlessly. Mr Haider an experienced conqueror of his own territories has now jumped into the field, sounding to repeat the 1973 episode.

Let me make one thing crystal clear here that no one in Balochistan is against any exploration whatsoever, provided the dividends are guaranteed for the people of Balochistan, and the right of ownership of the people of Balochistan must be accepted first, before Sui-Gas like plunder is repeated. All the wealth whether under or over the surface in Balochistan belongs to the people of Balochistan. They are the masters of their property. If somebody with what ever garb he may have tries to lay his hands on their ancestral heritage, what option are the people left with. Are they supposed to remain spectators in this broad daylight robbery and plunder or should they defend their property with whatever little strength they have. This much they do owe to their motherland. Be it you Mr Haider with all your sadistic nature or anybody for that matter.

People of Balochistan have every right to doubt the bona fides off their colonial power. They have the inherent right, they have the moral right, they have the human rights, they have the international right to resist through political and even physical means not to allow Punjab to deprive them of their belongings.

This time we may suffer more, but you are sure to lick your wounds for years to come whatever you may dig out from the Baloch soil rest assured it will be contaminated with human blood, this can help you in your appetite, but it is bound to absolve us in history.

This goes for you Mr Haider and for your masters to.
