Bomb blast in Quetta city
Some unknown persons planted a bomb near Pashin stop in Quetta on Thursday night, which went off with a powerful bang.
According to details a bomb went off on Thursday night near Pashin stop in Quetta. The near by buildings received damages but no loss of life has reported.
Police lodged FIR against unknown persons and started the investigations but no arrests have been made till the release of this news.

Attack on Police post, police spies kidnapped in Jaffarabad
Baloch Freedom Fighters attacked on a police post and kidnapped the Police party in Jaffarabad.
According to details some Baloch Freedom Fighters launched a rocket attack, fired dozens of rockets on the Police post and also kidnapped the policemen, which were on their duty. They tied the policemen and snatch their arms and escaped successfully from the spot. 30.12.04 |

Some Baloch Freedom Fighters attacked a police patrolling party near Patfeeder in Jaffarabad, the attackers opened fire on police party injuring two personnel on Friday evening.
According to details, police patrolling near main gas pipeline in Patfeeder
in Jaffarabad was attacked by Baloch Freedom Fighters, two personnel were seriously injured.
The firing erupted between Baloch Freedom Fighters and police patrolling party when the police patrolling party was on a usual tour of gas pipeline supplying gas to most of Punjab and Kashmir came under attacked
by Baloch Freedom Fighters. The firing continued for more then an hour in which heavy weapons were used from both sides.
The fighters also hurled several rockets on the Gas pipeline. The Gas pipeline received severe damage and
gas supply suspended to many parts of Punjab and rest of the country.
It is worth mentioning that two ATF (Anti Terrorist Force) were killed and several were injured in the attack on Thursday near in the mentioning area. 25.12.04 |
Attack on FC patrolling party 1 killed 3 injured
Some unidentified armed persons opened fire on FC patrolling party, one killed three seriously injured near Bulada Zamuran in Turbat.
According to sources a Frontier Corps patrolling party was travelling in a vehicle reached to Naag when some unidentified armed persons opened indiscriminate fire on FC patrolling party, one FC personnel killed at the spot and three other were seriously injured.
The seriously injuries were flown to Turbat Hospital. According to local people the firing continued for nearly one hour. The attackers escaped successfully after the firing. There was fear and panic in the area. 25.12.04 |

Baloch Liberation Army fighters ambushed a Frontier Corpse (FC) mobile convoy
in tehsil Balida of Turbat district on Saturday, killing four soldiers and
wounding several.
FC convoy of several vehicles was patrolling in Naag Nullah area, some 30
km's west of Balida, when they were attacked. BLA fighters managed to flee from the
scene. At least twelve soldiers were killed and dozens wounded in the attack. Wounded were shifted to
Quetta.
Investigations are underway in Balida and Naag Nullah. Baloch Liberation Army BLA claim responsibility for the attack.

DCO office attacked in Kohlu
Some unknown persons attacked the District Co-ordination Officer’s DCO office in Kohlu with the rockets from near by mountains on Friday night.
According to sources some unknown persons hurled several rockets on the District Co-ordination Officer’s office in Kohlu Friday night 1:00 am. Two rockets hit the office, the office boundary wall collapsed and the windowpanes of the building shattered. The office was closed so far no casualty occurred.
Mean while in another attack seven rockets were fired on other government buildings resulting in destruction of government property, but due to the late hours of evening the office buildings were deserted hence no casualty reported. 24.12.04 |
ATF vehicle attack two killed and three injured in Jaffarabad
Baloch Freedom Fighters attacked on an ATF (Anti Terrorist Force) vehicle with rockets and other heavy weapons in Jaffarabad near RD 238 area, on Thursday.
According to details some Baloch Freedom Fighters attacked on an Anti Terrorist Force’s vehicle near RD 238 in Jaffarabad on Thursday. The vehicle completely destroyed.
According eyewitnesses two personnel died on the spot and three other were seriously injured. The injured persons were shifted to the Jaffarabad hospital for first add and then were flown to Multan CMH (Combined Military Hospital) with a military gun ship helicopter for further treatment and the death bodies were shifted to the Punjab and were handed over to their relatives.

According to details some Baloch Freedom Fighters attack a FC check post on Sindh-Balochistan border near Jacobabad, killing two and seriously injure four. The firing continued for at least two hours during which heavy weapons were used from both sides.

19 killed in Quetta market blast
and several injured
At least 19 people including 10 army personnel were killed and nearly 20 injured when a powerful remote controlled bomb, which was planted in a cycle standing close to, a military truck exploded with a big bang in Meezan chowk on Friday.
The blast took place at 4:07 pm when a military truck carrying soldiers was parked beside Baldia plaza located in Meezan chowk. The soldiers had come to market for shopping.
The device, which was planted in a cycle standing close to the truck, went off causing massive damages in nearby areas. A host of vehicles including the army truck were nearly destroyed. The shops in the surrounding markets and residential buildings were also affected badly.
Inter-Service Public Relations sources confirmed the death of one army soldier. Four other army personnel were wounded in the blast and admitted to the CMH Quetta, the ISPR sources said. The injured included a policeman and sepoy of the Frontier Corps.
According to reliable sources the army suffered heavy losses of life and injuries in this attack, it is believed that the army suffered at least 10 fatalities and a dozen casualties, one of the deceased could be an army officer.
Talking to Dawn, Quetta DIG Rafi Pervez Bhatti said the explosive device had been attached to a bicycle with a timer. The bicycle was parked near an army truck standing close to Baldia Plaza, he said. Experts said the device was a 4kg bomb.
The sources said that pieces of the bicycle hit the army personnel on the truck, killing 10 soldiers and injuring a dozen or more. The truck was destroyed and seven other vehicles were damaged.
Soon after the incident, personnel of law-enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and took bodies and the injured to the civil hospital. Hundreds of people gathered at the hospital where a state of emergency was declared by the provincial government.
"Elements involved in the blast are the same people who had carried out such acts earlier," DIG Bhatti said. Meanwhile, an unknown caller identifying himself as Azad Baloch informed journalists in the Quetta Press Club that

A heavy bomb explosion took place beside a police station in city of Taftan Balochistan injuring many police personnel.
According to sources a bomb was planted next to the wall of the Taftan police station, which exploded with loud bang injuring, may police officials. Exact numbers of casualties are not known but it is believed that at least six police personnel were injured.

Some unidentified persons attacked on police patrolling party. The vehicle was badly damaged many policemen were injured.
The attackers threw hand grenades and fired other automatic weapons. The attack was so

Baloch Freedom Fighters fired dozens of rockets, which landed in Barkhan, no loss of life reported.
According to sources some Baloch Freedom Fighters hurled several rockets, which landed in Barkhan.
No arrest has been made so far.
Chief Minister of Balochistan Jam Mohammad Yousaf was on a visit of Barkhan at the time of the incidence.
Such attacks indicates that the people of Barkhan are against the government policies and don’t approve of CM’s visit to Barkan.

Rocket attack cuts off gas supply to Guddu barrage
Baloch Freedom Fighter fired a dozen rockets on Guddu main gas pipeline damaging the pipeline and gas supply suspended.
According to details Baloch Freedom Fighter fired a dozen rockets on Guddu main gas pipeline damaging the pipeline and gas supply was suspended to the Guddu Thermal Power Plant after a gas pipeline burst and caught fire on Balochistan-Punjab border. Gas supply to Kashmore town was also cut off.
Staff of Sui Northern Gas Company SNGC extinguished the fire, but gas supply had not been restored until the filing of this report. Kohlu, FC camp under rocket attack
Baloch Freedom Fighters attacked with rockets and other heavy weapons on FC (Frontier Corps) camp in Kohlu.
According to the sources a newly constructed FC camp was attacked with the rockets and other heavy weapons. The attack was launched from near by mountains. The security forces denied losses of lives. The attackers successfully escaped after the attack.
A FC personnel asked not disclose his name told that their lives were not safe in Kohlu district. Most attacks were occurred during the night, they could not sleep in the nights.
The attackers are getting benefits from darkness of the night. He further added that the
moral of FC personnel was very low because it is very difficult to fight

Two unidentified motorcyclists attacked, Quetta Siryab road police check post with grenades.
According to sources the police were busy in the checking of the vehicles when two motorcyclists attacked their picket with the hand grenades and escaped. A police van including two private vehicles received damages.

According to details Baloch Freedom Fighters attacked two FC check posts in jurisdiction of Sui police station. Two persons killed and three other were injured when the rockets hit the check post. The check post completely destroyed.

Some unidentified persons attacked with the grenades on a police van on saryab road Barma hotel, two police men injured. According to the details two unknown attackers attacked with hand grenades on civil line police van in Barma hotel on saryab road Quetta.

Two persons killed and six injured when their vehicle run over a land mine, which exploded with a big bang in Kashmore district Jacobabad.

According to the details a power full bomb explosion took place in Frontier Corps (FC) camp in Turbat, the bomb was planted in a motorcycle, which was parked in the FC camp and exploded with a loud bang.

Rockets fired on FC posts in Kohlu, Sui
Over two dozen rockets were fired on Tuesday at checkpoints of law-enforcement agencies in the Kohlu and Sui areas of Balochistan. However, there was no report of casualty.
Official sources, while confirming the rocket attacks, said that armed men positioned on the Jandran mountains in Kohlu area fired over a dozen rockets at the check posts of Frontier Corps early in the morning. FC personnel fired many rockets in retaliation. However, the attackers escaped.
Reports reaching here from Sui tehsil of Dera Bugti district said, six rockets were fired on Farooq check post of FC (Frontier Corps) in Sui.
The rockets fell in an open area away from the post causing no loss of life or property damage. The attack caused panic amongst the personnel. No arrest was reported till latest reports. 2.12.04

Two persons killed, one injured in a landmine blast
Tractor carrying three persons ran over a land mine, two died and third critically injured as a result of the blast the incidence happened near Kashmore.
According to details, the incident occurred when a tractor of a government contractor working under a contract to build new police stations near Balochistan-Punjab border near Kashmore ran over a landmine and it exploded.

Some unknown attackers attacked with the rockets on 230kv transmission line supplying electricity to the Kohlu and Barkhan, the transmission line completely destroyed.
According to details the 230kv transmission line destroyed in Kohlu when some unknown attackers fired several rockets, which hit the main electricity pole, and it collapsed.
The electricity supply to the Kohlu and Barkhan remain suspended on Thursday and Friday night.

Baloch freedom fighters attacked with rockets and destroy a Rangers post near
Sindh-Balochistan border , on Wednesday afternoon in Jacobabad.
At least six Rangers were injured when Baloch freedom fighters attack a ranger post in the Bakhhapur area, in Jacob Abad near Sindh’s border with Balochistan. More than a dozen Baloch freedom fighters fired dozens of rockets at the Rangers’ Ali Bagh Fort post.
Six rockets hit the post, completely destroying it and injuring six Rangers. The injured personnel conditions were serious.
The area was cordoned off after the attack; however no arrest were made till the report was filed.
There have been more than 200 such attacks in the area in the past six months, Dozens of security forces and officials killed and injured. Only last week the inspector general of Balochistan police said that the attacks had come to an end, and situation was under control. 25.11.04 |
Three injured in Quetta explosion
Three people were injured when a bomb exploded in front of the Sariab police station on Sariab road on Wednesday evening.
The bomb was planted under a truck parked outside the police station. The truck completely destroyed. Three people were seriously injured and were admitted to Civil Hospital. The names of the injured person could not be ascertained.

A remote controlled bomb device exploded in Khuzdar city killing 1 FC personnel and several injured.
According to reports, a remote controlled bomb device exploded in Khuzdar city killing one Frontier Corps personnel and more then sixteen injured, two of whom critically.
The explosion took
place when a Frontier Corps vehicle was just park and the FC personnel
were about to get out of the vehicle. The explosives were placed on a
bicycle already parked there. According to police it was a remote
controlled device.

Anti-Terrorism Court-I on Saturday sentenced Baloch nationalist leader Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri, his three sons Nawabzada Balach Marri, Herbeyar Marri and Jhangayz Marri and another man, Jabir, to three years rigorous imprisonment
each in their absence. Nawabzada Balach Marri is a member of the Balochistan Assembly.
Judge Shaukat Ali Rakhshani ruled that the five had willfully been absent from court proceedings in a terrorism case. The court also ordered for the confiscation of all the moveable and immoveable properties of the accused.
The accused were charged with being involved in a landmine explosion in Kohlu district a few months ago in which District Naib Nazim Changez Marri and another government official were killed and two others were injured. 21.11.04 |
Blasts damage rail track in Hyderabad
Two successive bomb blasts rocked the city oh Hyderabad on Saturday night and halted railway traffic by damaging railway tracks on the main line between Kotri and Hyderabad junctions.
No casualty was reported as a result of the blasts, which took place near Mir Fateh Colony at about 8:30pm, police said. The explosions tore up railway tracks in both directions.
Railway sources said Shah Rukn-e-Alam Express and Faisalabad Night Coach were among the trains halted at Hyderabad and Kotri and other railway stations following the blasts.
The Bomb Disposal Squad collected traces of the explosive used in the blast, as railway engineers started repair work. The official in charge of the squad, Mohammed Ramzan, said each device contained at least one pound of explosive. 21.11.04 |

Car bomb near CM’s House in Quetta 4 hurt
A very powerful car bomb exploded on Tuesday near the Balochistan chief minister’s residence and office, wounding four people including a woman and a constable.
City Police Officer (CPO) Pervaiz Rafi Bhatti said a bomb containing 20-kg which was the biggest ever explosion in the metropolis, explosives detonated 30 metres away from the chief minister’s office at about 10:20am.
The sound of the blast was heard all over city. Walls of many bungalows and houses in the area collapsed and windowpanes of most of the nearby buildings including the Chief Minister's House and those of senior bureaucrats were smashed, police said. Chief Minister Jam Yousuf was in the Chief Minister House at the time of explosion, AFP quoted the CPO as saying.
The car stuffed with explosives had been parked near the rest house of the department of services and general administration. As the car exploded, its parts hit houses as far away as 500 yards.
A doctor at Quetta’s Civil Hospital said four people suffered minor injuries in the blast, with the wounds caused by flying glass.
The injured persons were identified as Abdul Malik, Ghulam Mohammad, Shadi Khan and Guloori Bibi. It was the second car bomb explosion in Balochistan; the first in Gwadar on May 3 had killed three Chinese engineers and injured 11 port workers.
“The bomb was planted in a Suzuki car with a timed device,” Bhatti said. The CPO said the car was stolen from Karachi in 2000 and painted light blue later.

gas pipe line blown up near Hyderabad
A bomb explosion damaged the main pipeline supplying gas to Karachi and Hyderabad from Sui in Balochistan, at a village in district Sanghar, some 22km from Hyderabad, on Sunday evening, a Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) official said.
No casualties were reported, the police said. The damage disconnected gas supply to some suburban towns of Hyderabad district, Hasan Nawaz, senior manager of the SSGC said, adding gas was now being supplied to Karachi and Hyderabad by two other supply lines.
Smoke clouded the area following the blast, gas fumes spread over an area of about 10 kilometres. The police made announcements in the area by
megaphone asking people not to light anything.
The SSGC official said the gas pipeline was bombed at Pir Abdul Nabi Sarhandi village near Odero Lal town in the police limits of Tando Adam in district Sanghar. Gas supply to nearby towns of Odero Lal, Palijani and Matiari was stopped soon after the explosion for the next 24 hours, an SSGC official said.

Power line towers blown up in Barkan district
Large areas of Barkhan and Kohlu districts plunged into darkness after huge towers of the 132kv Rakhni-Barkhan transmission line were blown up in the Badi area of Barkhan district on Tuesday.
The attack on the tower caused suspension of power supply from the main transmission line, a spokesman of the Quetta Electric Supply Company (Qesco) told Dawn.
According to sources, Baloch freedom fighters planted explosives and blew up the main Rakhni-Barkhan transmission line in the Shaheed Barkhan post near Badi on Tuesday evening.
The attackers also fired rockets targeting Law-enforcement agencies deployed in the area. After exchange of fire between the attackers and Law-enforcement agencies personnel the attackers managed to escape successfully.

Sultan Pass FC check post near city of Noshki came under severe Rocket Attack during the late hours of the evening last night.
According to details a Frontier Corps check post situated at Sultan Pass near the northwestern town of Noshki in Balochistan came under Rocket attack by Baloch Freedom Fighters fighting continued for more then an hour.
The check post sustained severe damage in the attack. According to locals FC several FC personnel casualties and possible deaths, but the officials denied to comment on the matter. The attackers managed to escape successfully of the scene.
In retaliation the Frontier Corps rounded up locals for investigations, due to Frontier Corps heavy-handed policies there is severe outcry against them and other state law enforcement agencies and their brutal methods of upholding the law.
It is also worth mentioning that such attacks have become a matter of routine through out Balochistan. This check post was attacked several times in the past also.

As many as seven people including two officials of a security agency were injured when a bomb exploded with a big bang at Zarghoon Road in Quetta on Wednesday night.
According to bomb disposal squad around 500 gram explosive with a Russian timer was planted at the career of a bicycle, which went off at about 8:30 pm. Injuring 7 people including two officials of a security agency.

Three injured as rocket hits Ayub Stadium, & blast rocks Quetta
Unidentified attackers fired a rocket, which landed in Ayub Stadium Quetta, injuring three female athletes, shortly after the city was rocked by a heavy bomb explosion late on Sunday.
A rocket landed in front of the squash complex inside the Ayub Stadium, the venue of the 29th National Games. The rocket was fired half an hour after a bomb exploded in Suraj Ganj Bazaar. The explosion damaged a vehicle but no loss of life was reported.
The bomb was planted under the parked van. Soon after the bomb explosion at about 9:30pm, a rocket landed near Ayub Stadium’s central table tennis hall, injuring three athletes of the Pakistan Railways. It was a 80mm rocket and the explosion created a four-foot crater.
Shahida Perveen, Ayesha Iqbal and Asma Najeeb Pakistan Railways players, were rendered unconscious because of the powerful explosion. The injured were taken to hospital.
