Bomb blast near DAO house in Khuzdar
A heavy Bomb exploded near the main gate of DAO’s District assistant officer’s house in Khuzdar on Wednesday night at 9:00 pm causing damage to the property but no loss of life has been reported.

One killed, nine hurt in Quetta blast
An unidentified person was killed and nine injured when a powerful bomb planted on his bicycle went off near Governor house here on Tuesday evening, police said.
Nine passers-by, including a woman, were also wounded in the blast, which occurred around 6.00 pm on Jafar Khan Jamali Road. Windowpanes of nearby buildings and vehicles, plying on the road, were also smashed by the thud of the blast.
Soon after the explosion, police and other law-enforcement agencies cordoned off the area, as the Bomb Disposal Squad started its investigations. The BDS officials said it was a locally made time device weighing two to

FC check post in Kohlu attacked
Baloch freedom fighters attacked a Frontier Constabulary (FC) check post with rockets in Kohlu here on Sunday. No loss of life but heavy damage to property was reported till last reports came in.
It has been told that Baloch freedom fighters fired rockets at a check post of Frontier Constabulary (FC) Chandarah, which landed in FC base in Kohlu and exploded causing damage to the base. Extent of the damage is unknown but it is believed to be quite severe. 26.9.04

Three policemen and an
alleged attacker killed in Quetta
Three policemen and an alleged assailant were killed and three others policemen injured on Saturday when unknown attackers ambushed the official vehicle of a DSP investigation in Wahdat Colony.
"It was a terrorist attack," Pervez Rafi Bhatti, DIG Quetta Range, told Dawn, adding that unknown armed men waiting for police officer Nisar Kazmi had opened indiscriminate fire at his vehicle.
"Kazmi was their target as he was the main police officer playing an important role in the investigation into terrorist attacks in Quetta and close to exposing the main gang," he said.
"A head constable and two other policemen died on the spot while the attacker succumbed to his injuries in a hospital," police officials said, adding that the injured include DSP (CIA) Nisar Kazmi and one of his security guards.
Another policeman identified as Mohammad Ismail was also injured later in the exchange of fire with the armed men in the Khrotabad area, a locality on the outskirts of Quetta, where the injured attacker was found, a senior police officer said.
According to police sources, DSP Nisar Kazmi had left his house in Wahdat Colony at around 9.45am for the CIA centre. When he reached near a small causeway at the intersection of Killi Deba and the colony, unknown armed men sitting in a Suzuki van opened indiscriminate fire on the vehicle, killing three policemen and injuring two others, including Nisar Kazmi.
The three policemen killed in the attack were identified as head constables Younas Changezi and Mazhar Ali, and driver Khuda Bakhsh.
Police mobiles chased the fleeing attackers and found the Suzuki van abandoned in the Kharotabad area and another vehicle snatched from a carpet merchant.
The police continued the chase and after heavy exchange of fire arrested an alleged attacker who was badly injured. Later he succumbed to the injuries.
According to locals the deceased was not an attacker but a local who had gone out to get medicine and was on his way back to his house when the police shot him in the head. Locals and were outraged at the incidence and staged a protest and burnet tyres and blocked all roads and demanded the dismissal of all the police officers involved in killing of innocent citizens and branding them terrorists.
Meanwhile, shops, markets, shopping centres and business establishments were closed in the provincial capital as a rumour of killing of innocent people by police spread in the city, some shops also were attacked.
The whole city was closed down within a few minutes and local buses stopped plying in the area. Immediately, the police and other law enforcement agencies were deployed in the main bazaars to meet any untoward incident.
The police through megaphones asked the business community to open their shops and markets while same announcements were also made from the main mosques of the city. 26.9.04

Rocket attack on Rangers post, two killed five injured in Rojhan
Mazari
Baloch freedom fighters fired rockets over the check post killing two Rangers men on the spot while five personnel were seriously injured who were shifted to the district headquarters hospital Rajanpur.
Rockets were fired over an under-construction police check post near Rojhan area of Rajanpur, killing two Rangers sepoy Amjad and Naeem whereas five others Ahmed Yar, Butta, Javed, Urfan, and Younas were injured in the attack on Thursday.
The incident occurred at the under construction police check post number 11 at Jatro adjacent to Punjab-Balochistan border area, Rajanpur police sources said. 25.9.04

Two rangers killed two serious injured in Rojan Jamali
Baloch freedom fighters launched an attack on a police check post in Rojan Jamali killing two Rangers while two others sustained serious injuries
on Thursday.
It has been told that two rangers were killed while two others sustained serious injuries when Baloch freedom fighters opened fire on their check post with light and heavy weaponry.
It is pertinent to mention that such attacks on law enforcement agencies and rangers check posts in this area of Sindh-Balochistan border and Balochistan-Punjab border area is a matter of routine since last few years.17.9.04

Rockers hit Rangers check post in Rajanpur
Unknown armed men attacked rangers check post with rockets in the border area of Balochistan and Punjab at Rajanpur.
According to details, two Rangers official’s sustained serious injuries in a rocket attack at rangers check post in the border area of Balochistan and Punjab surrounding Rajanpur.
As soon as the news was heard, officials of rangers and law enforcement agencies started search of the attackers who immediately managed to flee from the scene after attacking the ranger check post with rockets.

Soldier among 3 killed in attack on Rangers Picket
Two Rangers soldier and one attacker were killed in an attack on Rangers picket at Rojhan Mazari area at Kashmore near Sindh-Balochistan-Punjab border.
Two camels were also killed during exchange of fire between the Rangers and the assailants who came there riding camels and resorted to target Rangers picket with heavy weapons.
The Punjab Elite Force encircled the area soon after the incident and as a result Indus Highway was blocked that caused traffic jam for many hours.
Earlier five Rangers soldiers and three women and children were killed in clash between Rangers and unidentified assailants three days back.

Three
laborers injured in landmine blast near Dera Bugti
At least three persons were seriously injured when their tractor they were mounted on crept on a landmine in Dera Bugti.
As per reports reached here in Mat Mondarani near Sui a tractor trolley crept on a land mine when it was on its way to Mauza Baghar Gat.
The trolley was completely destroyed while driver and two labourers were seriously injured. They were rushed to a local hospital for medical attention. 9.9.04

Four FC men injured in grenade attack in Chaghai
Four Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel were injured on Friday in a grenade attack on Chaghai militia gate in Naushki, some 200 kilometres from the Balochistan capital.
Officials in Chaghai district said that attackers opened fire and threw a hand grenade at FC men. An FC spokesman in Quetta said the four men seriously injured were admitted to Hospital.
Meanwhile, three explosions took place near a police
station in Khuzdar district late at night. There was panic amongst the
authorities. According to the people one rocket also fired from near by
area which landed near Police station.

Rocket attack on FC picket near Sui
Baloch freedom fighters fired rockets and hurled hand grenades at the picket of the Frontier Constabulary at Lanjoo Chakrani near Sui, Balouchistan, on Monday, according to reports from the area. The attackers escaped when Constabulary troops fired back.
No loss of life was reported in the attack, the latest in series of assaults in which Sui gas pipelines and other government property have been targeted, as well as the law-enforcement agencies themselves. Two injured in shooting
Baloch freedom fighters fired at the vehicle of Executive Engineer injuring two people in the car. According to information Baloch Freedom Fighters fired at the vehicle of Executive Engineer, Mohammed Ibrahim in the area of Kachi Canal.

FC check post attacked near Kohlu
Unidentified men on Tuesday fired five rockets at a Frontier Constabulary check post in Party, some 25
kilometers from Kohlu. The check post completely destroyed and sources believe loss of life.
Police registered a case against the unidentified attackers. Meanwhile, a law enforcement agencies personnel was seriously injured when a landmine went off which he was. The landmine was planted by unidentified persons on Paza Neeli road.
Law enforcement agencies arrested dozens of suspected men by raiding various localities in Old Sui to reach the persons responsible for Monday’s attack on a military vehicle, which killed five army soldiers. 18.8.04

Gas pipeline destroyed by blast in Muridke
A blast in Muridke’s industrial area destroyed the main gas pipeline on Monday night. No loss of life was reported in the incident.
Sui Northern Gas Private Ltd SNGPL sources said that the blast occurred at the main pipeline connected with Sailkot to supply gas to the industrial units near Muridke including Ittehad Chemicals. Personnel from various government agencies reached at the spot and start investigations and repair work.
SNGPL Managing Director Rasheed Lone told that unidentified persons blasted the main supply pipeline leading to Lahore and Sheikhupura with a time bomb. However, he said the repair work would complete in next 24 hours. 17.8.04

Two trains escape bombings on railway tracks
Two passenger trains narrowly escaped a major disaster when two bombs exploded on the main railway track near Nawabshah on Monday night.
A one-and-a -half foot portion of the railway track has been damaged. The first bomb exploded at 8:16pm on the Up line some two kilometres from Nawabshah railway station. 303 Up passenger train passed there some five minutes earlier. Police and reporters rushed to the spot.
The second bomb exploded at 8:55pm on the Down line a little distance from the place where the first bomb exploded. 312 Down passenger train was to pass from the track after about five minutes.
DSP Gul Phull, police constable Nasir Husain and a local journalist, Azizul Hasan, were injured. They were sent to hospital, where sources said both of Nasir’s legs were mangled. All trains were detained at various railway stations and the railway authorities were trying to restore rail traffic. 17.8.04

FC men killed in Sui ambushes and 25 rockets hit paramilitary base
Five paramilitary troops were killed and 12 others were wounded on Monday
in two attacks, the first when unidentified gunmen opened fire on a
vehicle carrying employees of the state-run Pakistan Petroleum Limited
near the Sui gas fields, said Colonel Rizwan Malik, spokesman for the
paramilitary Frontier Constabulary.
The attack occurred on a road near Sui, where the country’s main natural gas pipeline and other gas facilities were located, said Col Rizwan Malik, adding that no civilians were injured.
Four FC men who died during the attack were identified as Subedar Mohammad Nawaz, Lance Naik Khalil, Mohammad Saeed and Mohammad Din. The injured were taken to the Sui Hospital.
Following the attack, the administration imposed curfew in the area and law enforcement agencies launched house-to-house search to arrest the attackers.
In the second attack on the same road, rockets were fired at a convoy of army officers, killing one soldier injuring another soldier, both of whom had been escorting the officers, Malik said. Col Malik said they didn’t know who was behind the attack. He gave no other details.
Meanwhile, unidentified attackers on Monday fired 25 rockets at a paramilitary base in Sui. In exchange of fire the assailants escaped successfully, the State forces fired some rockets which struck two homes in the area, injuring four civilians. BLA (Baloch Liberation Army) claimed the responsibility for the ambush. A local police officer Munir Gondal said they were still investigating.
He said the soldiers were patrolling in the area to guard the gas facilities when unidentified persons fired rockets from a nearby mountain. On Sunday in a similar kind of attack two men of Defence Security Guard Zulfiqar and Khan Mohammad were injured when unidentified attacked a Defence Security Guard vehicle. Later on one of the injured died of his injuries in hospital. 17.8.04

Six
explosions rock Quetta
A series of six bomb explosions rocked the city on Saturday. Deputy Inspector General of Police Pervez Bhatti said.
The police official said security was increased in the city on the eve of Independence Day of Pakistan.
Six bombs exploded in Quetta on Independence Day of Pakistan. The timers used in the devices are similar and it appears that only one organization is behind the blasts to create panic on Independence Day, Mr Bhatti said.
The blasts started around 12:45 pm. The sixth and last explosion occurred around one hour later near the railway station in Quetta, witnesses said. The blasts shattered windows in several buildings and houses and created panic in the area, residents said.
Two loud explosions on Friday night at 9:50 pm and 10:30 pm just 100 yards from Governor’s House caused panic among residents who had come out of their houses to watch the illuminations for Independence Day of Pakistan.

Water pipeline blown up in Sui
Unidentified men blew up the main water pipeline on Friday, suspending the water supply to the Sui gas plant.
Water is supplied to the Sui gas plant from the Guddu Barrage via Mazari Goth. The plant could be partially or completely closed if the water supply is not restored within the next 48 hours and the power supply across the country could be suspended if the situation persisted.

Two bombs explode in Quetta just 100 yards from Governor house
Two bombs exploded in a high-security area near Governor’s House on Friday. The loud explosions at 9:50pm and 10:30pm just 100 yards from Governor’s House caused panic among residents who had come out to look at the lights put up for Pakistan’s Independence Day.
The explosions were meant to create panic in the people celebrating Independence Day of Pakistan, The explosions damaged the wall of the information secretary’s house while windows of nearby houses were also shattered, The first bomb exploded near the railway station at 9.45pm on White Road near the house of Information Secretary Masood Khan.

18 rockets fired on FC post and
government office in Kohlu
Baloch freedom fighters fired 18 rockets targeting a paramilitary post and a government building in Kohlu on Thursday,
Fourteen of the rockets fired in the pre-dawn attack landed near the paramilitary forces’ post and the four others fell near a government office in Kohlu, Rocket attacks against security forces and government installations are common in Kohlu, a most resource-rich district about 350
kilometers southeast of Quetta. No arrest has been made till the latest report.
Authorities suspect BLA (Baloch Liberation Army) for firing the rockets at the security forces, who are based in various parts of Balochistan, there are three momentum organizations BLA (Baloch Liberation Army), BPLF (Baloch People’s Liberation Front) and BLF (Baloch Liberation Front) have claimed most of attacks bomb explosions, landmine blasts, remote bomb blasts and rocket attacks against occupied security forces and Government installations.13.8.04

Express train fired upon in Balochistan
The train service between Quetta and Sibi was
suspended for several hours after four armed men opened fire on a
Karachi-bound train near the Aab-e-Gum area late Wednesday night, Railway
officials said.
"None of the passenger was hurt in the firing on Mehran
Express," a senior railway police officer said. The train service was
restored on Thursday morning, he added. All Quetta-bound trains were
stopped at the Sibi station after the firing.
Sources said that the Karachi-bound Mehran Express had left Quetta at
around 7:30pm and reached Aab-i-Gum area late at night. The train's engine
and a bogey sustained serous damage, sources said, adding that the
engine's windshield had been smashed.
Railways police officials said that there were four armed men who escaped
in a vehicle after firing at the train. A case has been registered against

FC post attacked in Chaghai
Baloch Freedom fighters fired several rockets at a Frontier Constabulary (FC) post in Chaghai on Tuesday. The attackers fled unhurt when FC soldiers
retaliated. There was fear and harassment in the soldiers.
The rocket hit the walls of post. Rockets left big crates in wall and ground. Rocket attacking; bomb explosion on law enforcements has been a routine in Balochistan.
However most attacks has been claimed by an active organization Baloch Liberation Army, fighting for Baloch self determination in Balochistan. It is interesting to note that from last four years this organization is attacking on Government cantonments, FC checks posts and on Government installations but still authorities has been failed to stop the attacks. 4.8.04

BLA warns of more attacks if state terrorism not stopped
Baloch Liberation Army in a statement sent to journalists of Punjgoor Press Club. In their letter the BLA has warned that a series of attacks would take place throughout Balochistan on military installations and other Government properties, if the State terrorism were not stopped. And strongly condemn the arresting, torture, and killing of innocent Baloch people and political workers.
The letter also stated that “The liberation of Balochistan from the clutches of Punjab is our mission and we will offer any sacrifices for the rights of Baloch Nation.” 3.8.04

A member of the Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) was killed and two others
were wounded when unidentified persons attacked the motorcade of
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Yousuf in Anjera area of district Khuzdar,
some 290 kilometres off here, on Monday evening.
The chief minister survived the attempt on way to Quetta from Khuzdar,
said Home Secretary Abdul Rauf Khan, adding that Jam remained unhurt in
the attack. But an ATF constable was killed and two others were wounded
during the attack, he said.
Independent sources from Khuzdar said two people — a constable of the
ATF and an alleged attacker — were killed while two others were wounded
in the cross-fire. The police had also arrested two attackers and
recovered weapons from their possession, the sources added.
"When we were coming back to Quetta after holding a law and order
meeting in district Khuzdar, some unknown assailants attacked the ATF
vehicle in Anjera area," Jam Yousuf told The News from district Kalat
by telephone. He said the government would take stern action against those
involved in such attacks.
Reports said the assailants had taken positions at Anjera intersection
and opened fire on the convoy with automatic weapons, as it approached
them at around 6.30 pm. The attack was sudden and intense. The ATF men
retaliated and killed one attacker and arrested two others, said one of
the senior officials who traveled with the motorcade.
The deceased was identified as ATF Constable Musa Jan. The injured were
shifted to the district headquarters hospital Kalat, where condition of
one of the injured is stated to be critical. The injured were identified
as Muhammad Saleem, driver, and Mazhar Khan. The chief minister was on his
way back to Quetta but he stopped at Kalat district.
Officials of the Balochistan Home Department said they had increased
security and patrolling in the area to trace out the other attackers. All
incoming and outgoing routes have been sealed to apprehend the person
behind the attack, they added.
"The assailants, who were
hiding in the mountains, opened fire when the chief minister’s convoy
passed the Anjera intersection," he said. The Khuzdar meeting took
decisions on strengthening security on highways and military areas, Rauf
said. Later reports said an injured police officer died of wounds in the

Dozens of Rockets fired on FC
Frontier Corps Head quarter in Kalat killing 20 FC personnel and injuring
many injured.
According sources in an attack by
Baloch Freedom Fighters on a FC camp in Kalat FC sustained heavy loss of
life and property. It is believed that more then 20 FC personnel were
killed and dozens injured in the attack.
When inquired FC authorities declined to comment
on the matter. The attack was carried out during the late hours of the
night and lasted for more then an hour. 2.8.04

Six
soldiers killed and two seriously injured in Khuzdar
Six army soldiers were killed and two seriously injured when three
Baloch Freedom Fighters gunmen attacked a vehicle in Khuzdar on Sunday,
BLA (Balochistan Liberation Army) claims responsibility.
Khuzdar, 300 kilometers southwest of Quetta, is the second major city
of Balochistan.
Balochistan Inspector General of Police Chaudhry Yaqub said the off-duty
soldiers in civilian dress were driving to a market in a pickup when the
attackers sprayed it with bullets on Zinda Pir road. Five died immediately
while one died in hospital.
He said the attackers escaped after firing with AK-47,s and hurling a
grenade at the vehicle. He said that the attackers fled towards Katcha
area controlled by the levies.
Those killed were identified as Iftikhar Shah,
Amir Khan, Mohammad Mustafa, Mohammad Tariq, Mohammad Arshad and Mohammad
Irfan, the driver. The two injured, Mansoor Ahmed and Ali Hasnain, have
been admitted to the CMH Khuzdar.
The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has accepted responsibility for the
attack.
Azad Baloch, representing the BLA, called international news agencies and
said the Khuzdar attack was a reaction to the ongoing military operation
in Turbat.
The situation is Khuzdar was tense. Security has been increased in Quetta,
Khuzdar and other parts of Balochistan.
Asked about the BLA, Mr Yaqub said the attack could be a reaction to the

18 rockets fired at FC check post in Sui
Baloch freedom fighters attacked at the Phata Nala Check post in Sui between the midnight of Thursday and Friday at 3:00 am. The rockets hit the check post completely demolishing the building, heavy loss of life and properties are feared.
While in an other attack 11 rockets were fired at Feeder Check post. The attackers fled after retaliatory fire form the Frontier Constabulary. The law enforcing agencies have further tightened security measures in the area after the incident. 31.7.04

fire
Some unknown persons set a fire a government vehicle in the area of Brewery road here on Friday. As per statement of the driver some young men stopped a vehicle of P&D and put that on fire.

blasts rock Gwadar
Three bomb
explosions rocked Gwadar on Saturday morning, causing panic in the area.
The first bomb
went off at 6:45am near the Gwadar police station followed by a second
blast at the Gwadar Fish Harbor at 7am while a third bomb exploded behind
Gwadar mosque at 8am.
According to the agency, the bomb explosion behind the Gwadar Police
station has left a deep hole in the ground. After the incident, law
enforcement agencies have tightened security for foreigners working in
Gwadar. No arrest has been made so far.
An active organization, struggling for Baloch
self determination BLA (Baloch Liberation Army) has claimed the

30 rockets fired in Sui area
Baloch freedom Fighters fired 30 rockets on Wednesday apparently aimed at paramilitary troops guarding gas fields in south-western Pakistan, damaging homes although there were no casualties, a police official said.
Two rockets damaged four houses while the other rockets were fired over fields on the outskirts of Sui, said Rahim Jamot, a senior police official in the area. He said the troops returned fire and later detained seven tribesmen during a search operation. However, it was not immediately clear whether the captured men were directly involved in the attacks. Jamot said authorities are still searching for the attackers.

Two
troops killed in rocket attack
Two army men have died and over
three troops sustained injuries in a rocket attack on a security
forces caravan in the coastal area of Turbat. A security
forces caravan Monday was on its way from Gwadar to Turbat when a shell of
RPG -7 was fired upon it in a hilly area.
According to the report, the
caravan was going from Gwadar to Turbat when it was attacked in a hilly
area. It said one Subedar and one Naib Subedar were killed and more than
three soldiers were injured.
Director General (DG) Inter
Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Shaukat Sultan said that
the unidentified men attacked a convoy of the security
forces in the Gaddan area of Turbat City. He said they exchanged firing
with the attackers.
Following this incident, massive search
operation has been launched in the area. Military
helicopters are also being used in this operation. BLA (Baloch Liberation Army) claimed responsibility for the

soldiers reported killed in rocket attack in Balochistan
Two soldiers were killed and three
others injured in a rocket attack on a military convoy in the Dramb
mountainous area in Turbat, Balochistan Province in southern Pakistan,
reports from the area said.
The rockets were fired near the
site of the controversial Mirani Dam project opposed by local residents
who said the project would destroy the environment without benefiting the

Saturday to Sunday. The activists fired three rockets near 2 am on
Saturday night. The fired rockets exploded around the post with great
intensity causing panic and fear amongst the FC personnel.
However no loss of life but damages to the
property has been reported. The authorities have launched investigations
into the incident. The attacker have escaped successfully after the

rockets fired at Mirani dam site
The site of the under-construction Mirani dam was rocked in the early
hours of Friday when over a dozen rockets exploded in the residential area
of the project, some 50Km from the Turbat city.
The rockets, along with hundreds of rounds of automatic weapons, were
fired by unknown people from the nearby Mirani Mountains. At least three
houses, an officers mess and generator room were damaged in the incident,
a senior official of the Turbat administration told on telephone from
Turbat. But no one was killed or wounded in the attack, he added.
Sources said that around half a dozen armed people came to the project
site at around 3.30am in two vehicles and started firing rockets towards

exploded near the residential area and damaged some houses, a mess and
generator room.
Some attackers took positions at the Mirani mountains and fired hundreds
of rounds towards the same site using automatic weapons. "Unknown
people fired 14 rockets at the project site," official sources said,
adding that they also fired around 500 rounds and fled in their vehicles.
Soon after the incident, the official concerned rushed to the site along
with heavy contingent of levies and other law enforcement agencies. BLA

Bomb
blast rocks Quetta
A powerful explosion rocked Quetta
late on Friday night when a bomb went off in the residential area of Pir
Abul-Kahir road, police said. No person was killed or injured in the blast
but severe damage to the houses next to the blast.
Unknown people had planted the bomb near the house of Mohammad Aslam, a
contractor. It exploded at 9.40pm with a big bang causing panic and
harassment in area.
The attackers have successes in escaping.

Two policemen gunned down
Two policemen were killed and a passer by injured on Wednesday when armed men opened fire in Turbat bazaar.
Sources said that the armed men opened fire at Turbat police station SHO Manzoor Shahwani and head constable Gul Mohammad Baloch near Aslam Shah market in Turbat Bazaar killing the two police officials instantly, whereas a passer-by received bullet injuries. The killers escaped. 15.7.04

Main
gas pipeline blown-up near Uch
The main transmission line of
natural gas blown-up near Uch Sharif, some 100 miles south of Multan
cutting off gas to thermal power stations on Tuesday.
Law enforcement agencies are investigating into the incidence. Various
teams of the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) arrived at Uch
Sharif from Multan, Bahawalpur and other stations to monitor the
situation. Gas to Ahmedpur East, Bahawalpur and other cities of the
country had been disconnected.
According to SNGPL sources, three big underground
pipelines passed through Nanday Lal, which fed the Punjab and frontier
regions. The damaged pipeline is being repaired and will be functional
within 48 hours, sources said.
The explosion also disrupted gas to power stations in Kot Addu,
Muzzaffargarh, Faisalabad and Rouch. Kot Addu and Muzaffargarh power
stations have been switched to oil but WAPDA is still experiencing a
shortage of 450 megawatts of electricity. 7.7.04

Two
Rangers personnel die in ambush
Two officials of the rangers were killed when a contingent of the
paramilitary force was attacked near Punjab-Balochistan border in Rajanpur
district on Monday.
According to sources two Rangers Naik
(corporal) Muhammad Sharif and Sepoy Muhammad Zafar were shot and killed
by Baloch freedom fighters near Rojhan Indus Highway. “Ten armed persons
attacked a Rangers patrol party. Two Rangers were killed,” spokesman
said.
The assailants, who belonged to the neighboring
Balochistan, used heavy gunfire followed by the shelling of
rocket-propelled grenades.
Officials said that the attackers fled after the paramilitary force

FC men injured in an ambush
Seven Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel were ambushed on Friday night
at the Sui area.
According to
report a FC (Frontier constabulary) patrolling party was in a daily
routine when they were ambushed near Sui resulting in seriously injuring
seven Frontier constabulary personnel.
The injured were taken to hospital. Meanwhile,
Baloch freedom fighters fired 10 rockets at an FC post on Saturday. There
was fear and harassment among Government officials. Tell latest reports no

Some armed persons opened fire on FC check post in Hamid Por in Panhor Sunhari last night. The attackers have hurled several rockets which landed on Frontier Corps check post how ever no loss of life but loss of property has been reported. No arrest has been made so far. Rockets fired on FC headquarters, one killed
A Frontier Corp soldier was killed
in a rocket attack on the FC wing headquarters in Kohlu on Tuesday
morning. Sources said Baloch fighters fired around more then one dozen
rockets at the FC headquarters at around 6:30am.
The rockets hit the FC wing headquarters building, killing the FC man
Mohammad Khan and demolishing the buildings. "One FC soldier Mohammad
Khan was killed in the attack," a senior officer of the Kohlu
administration confirmed when contacted over telephone. The blast
demolished the FC building. Paramilitary forces returned fire and the
firing lasted several hours.
Meanwhile the fierce fighting continuing in Sond area of Mawand tehsil.
The administration has sent 400 FC units to help the levies force which
had launched the operation in the area on Sunday last.
"Three levies personnel have been killed and four others
injured," a senior FC officer said in Quetta, adding that exchange of
fire and rockets were reported in the area. An FC spokesman said that law
enforcement agencies had surrounded the militants who were hiding in the
mountains near Kohlu.
He said the FC had called in more troops to fight
the militants. Around 500 FC and 700 Levies personnel are already deployed
in the area. He said that law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the
whole area to arrest the attackers. However, so far no arrest was reported
