Rail track blown up in
Quetta
Train line blown up in Quetta on Monday nigh with a powerful explosion on
the main rail track linking Quetta with other parts of the country. Rail
traffic between Quetta and Sibi remaining suspended till Tuesday.
According to sources, Baloch insurgents blew up the track near the
Balochistan University. “A piece of four and half feet long rail track was
blown by a powerful blast,” a senior official of the Pakistan Railway’s
Quetta division said.
The insurgents blew up the track with powerful explosives planted under
the track, sources said and added that after the explosion railway
engineers and other staff rushed to the site and started replacing the
affected track.
The sources said that the blast took place after the passing of a goods
train on the track. Quetta-bound passenger trains coming from Punjab and
Karachi were stopped at the Sibi railway station.

Insurgents opened fired and set ablaze GSP
camp in Balochistan
Unidentified armed persons set ablaze the camps of the Geological Survey
of Pakistan (GSP) in Mero area of Sorenj, some 35 kilometres away from the
provincial capital. However, no loss of life was reported.
Official sources said that unknown armed men opened indiscriminate fire on
the camps of the GSP in Mero area in Sorenj and subsequently torched them.
The GSP team was conducting the survey of coal in Mero area, sources
added.
Confirming the incident, a senior official of the GSP said that senior
officials of the GSP reached the spot and started probe into the matter.
They were inspecting the site and drilling rig worth millions of rupees.
However, officials of the police expressed their ignorance about the
incident.
It has been learnt that the officials of the GSP had stopped the survey
work and have returned to Quetta. Meanwhile, the officials staged protest
demonstration in the premises of the GSP and demanded of the government to
provide them protection; as such incidents have become matter of routine
in Balochistan.

Rocket attack rocks Noshki
An incidents of rocket attack rocked Noshki district on Sunday.
Some unidentified armed persons fired a rocket on the residence of vice
President Pakistan Muslim League-Q Prince Abdul Qadir in Naushki town,
some 148 km’s west of Quetta.
The rocket landed close to his house, and shattered windowpanes. However,
there were no reports of loss of live.

PTCL office bombed in Balochistan
A bomb exploded at an office of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL)
in Kharan, shattering the office building but no casualties reported, on
Monday.
The attack happened late on Sunday in the Kharan district, about 250
kilometres west of Quetta.
Balochistan has been the scene of powerful bombings targeting government
offices, railroads and security forces in recent years.

Chinese camp in Gwadar attacked
Many vehicles were damaged when a rocket hit the camp site of a Chinese
construction company in the Tallar area of Gwadar district on Tuesday
evening.
Sources said that Baloch insurgents had fired five rockets from the Dahram
mountain range at the company’s camp site. Two rockets landed and exploded
in the parking area of the camp damaging a number of vehicles.
Three other rockets landed in close to the camp that rocked the entire
area. However, no casualty was reported in the attack.
The sources said that the Chinese company was constructing a road so as to
link Gwadar with the Turbat area of Makran.
Last month a vehicle of Chinese engineers headed for the camp site escaped
a landmine explosion. However, another vehicle ran over the landmine,
which had been planted in the middle of the road, as a result of which two
people were injured.

Grenade blast rock Quetta
Some unidentified persons threw a hand grenade in the house of an official
Muhammad Iqbal at 7:25pm on Saturday.
The blast shattered the glasses of the windows, doors and damaged the
boundary wall. Police and bomb disposal squad reached the spot and
cordoned off all the area. No casualty reported.

Baloch insurgents attacked and destroyed
Gas plant & FC camp
A gas plant, situated at the border of Sindh and Balochistan, in the
jurisdiction of Bhittai colony police station, was attacked with rockets
and hand-grenades late on Wednesday night.
The gas plant sustained damage and the boundary wall totally destroyed in
the. The insurgents also fired rockets on the Frontier Corps camp of 40
Wing Rangers damaging the camp and wounding several FC personnel.
The insurgents fled unharmed after successfully attacking and destroying
the gas plant and Frontier Corps camp. BLA claimed responsibility for the

Iron ore exploration site attacked and destroyed in Dilband, Balochistan
A group of about a hundred Baloch armed insurgents attacked an iron
exploration site in Dilband area of Mastung district with rockets
propelled grenades RPG’s, bombs and heavy machine gun fire LMG’s on Monday
night, destroying the site and blowing up residential cabins of the staff.
It is estimated that the destroying machinery worth millions of rupees of
the Bolan Mining Enterprise, a joint venture of the Pakistan Petroleum
Limited and the Balochistan government. “The machinery destroyed was worth
Rs50-60 million,” an official said on Wednesday.
Sources said, the attackers encircled the camp of the Bolan Mining
Enterprise, overpowered six guards and snatched their weapons and taking
them into custody, before hurling rockets and bombs at the site.
All the equipment at the site, including power generators, crushing plant,
power lines, heavy excavating machinery, dumpers, bulldozers and
residential cabins of the staff were destroyed.
Local people said the firing and loud blasts were heard for about three
hours but no government agency showed up during the attack, though a
Frontier Corps FC camp is located only fifteen kilometers from the place
of incidence. The insurgents fled towards nearby mountains after the
attack.

Two bomb explosions and a rocket attack in
Quetta
Quetta was rocked by a rocket and two bomb explosions on Monday night. A
rocket hit a Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) house in Satellite Town
and two powerful bombs exploded in different areas of Capital city.
According to sources Baloch insurgents fired a rocket from the unknown
direction, which hit in a DSP’s house in Satellite Town Quetta on Monday
night at 7:30pm. The blast was so powerful that the house sustained severe
damage, no casualties were reported as no one was in the house at the time
of the blast. It is believed that it was a 105 mm rocket.
In a an other incidence a powerful blast took place in the Nawa Killi near
airport road late in the evening, badly damaged nearby houses..
A second explosion was heard in the same area. Sources said the bomb was
planted near a house. No loss of life reported. Local administration
lodged FIR against unknown persons.

Three suspects killed by own bomb in
Balochistan Three suspects were killed when a locally made
device exploded in a house in Turbat district of Balochistan, about 700
kilometers southwest of Quetta, on Monday evening.
Local police officials said that the three men killed in the blast were
planning an attack in the area. They said they were preparing bombs and
one exploded. The bodies of the three suspects were badly damaged and so
had not been identified so far. Police have seized five hand grenades, a
Kalashnikov, two magazines, a motorcycle and several fuses from the house.
Turbat and nearby areas have been volatile for the last couple of weeks.
Unidentified people had attacked a Frontier Corps convoy last week. Later,
the FC exchanged fire with unidentified people and claimed to have
detained three of them for interrogation.
The Baloch Liberation Army and Baloch Liberation Front accepted
responsibility for the attack on paramilitary forces. An unidentified man
who identified himself as Doda told Daily Times on the telephone that such
activities would continue until Balochistan was provided its rights. By

Powerful bomb blast in Quetta
A powerful bomb blast rocked Quetta; the explosive device went off on
White road near Government buildings on Sunday night.
According to reports, a powerful explosive device planted near the
boundary wall of a government building on White road Quetta. This went off
with a loud bang blowing up the wall, badly damaging nearby buildings and
shattering window panes of houses over a vast area. It was a very powerful
device but at the time of the explosion all offices were closed and no one
in the area. Luckily no loss of life was reported in the blast.

FC convoy hit by a powerful bomb explosion
in Turbat, 13 killed
A powerful bomb planted under a bridge exploded when a Frontier Corps FC
convoy was passing over it on Thursday evening. FC truck carrying
personnel totally destroyed and several casualties.
According to details, a powerful explosive device planted under a bridge
went off when a FC convoy was passing over it, some fifty kilometers from
Turbat. The explosion was so powerful that the bridge totally destroyed
and a FC truck passing over it shattered into pieces. It is believed the
device was remotely detonated.
According to local people, at least 13 FC personnel were in the truck at
the time of the blast, all were killed on the spot. The vehicle carrying a
FC commandant also in the convoy badly damage but the commandant managed
to survive with a few minor injuries.
It is worth mentioning that such attacks have become a matter of routine
all over Balochistan. Mostly of the attacks have targeted military,
paramilitary and government installations.

Major gas supply pipeline blown up in Guddu, BLA claimed responsibility
Baloch Guerilla fighters blown up main gas pipeline in Gaddu near
Kashmore. Gas supply to major district of Punjab, Kashmir, Karachi and
other part of country remain suspended. Powerful blast blew up the main
pipeline supplying gas to the Guddu thermal Power Station on Tuesday.
The explosion cut off gas supply to the power station from the Mari gas
field and gas supply to the major districts of Punjab, Kashmir, Karachi
and other parts of country suspended.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) accepted responsibility for the blast.
The BLA spokesman Mr. Azad Baloch also warned that Baloch resistance
movements will continue their struggle against plunder of Baloch national
resources especially Gwadar project and the construction of new army

FC check post attacked in Dera Bugti
Several RPG’s (rocket propelled grenades) and LMG (light machinegun)
rounds fired on Baksha Mandrani FC check-post in Dera Bugti.
According to sources, Heavy automatic gunfire and a dozen explosions were
heard when Baksha Mandrani FC check-post was attacked by Baloch freedom
fighters late Tuesday night. The firing continued for an hour in which RPG;s and LMG were used by the attackers.
Sources added that several rockets were fired on FC post in Dera Bugti at
least six rockets hit the post, which resulted in heavy damages to the

FC camp under attack in Hoshab Mand
Frontier corps camp in Hoshab, sub district Mand came under severe attack
by Baloch Freedom Fighters on Sunday to Monday night.
According to details, a well prepared Baloch guerrilla group attacked and
destroyed a Frontier Corps camp in Hoshab, sub district Mand. Rockets and
automatic firing continued for more then an hour resulting in several
casualties and severe damage to Frontier Corps camp.
BLA and BLF claimed responsibility for the attack and warned that they

Jaffarabad
Baloch freedom fighters attacked a police post in Jaffarabad with rocket
launchers and automatic weapons on Monday. Check post completely
destroyed.
Baloch fighters fired several rockets at Dinari police check post in
Jaffar Abad. The attackers fired a dozen rockets and opened fire with
heavy weapons. Four rockets had a direct hit and others fell close by the
police post, the check post completely destroyed.
Sources said police had a few casualties but nothing could be confirmed
till the release of this report. Attackers escaped successfully, no arrest
has been made so far. Police lodged FIR against unknown attackers.

Gas pipeline blown up near Bala Nari near
Bakthyarabad
Gas pipeline blown up in
Bakthyarabad inthe locality of police station Bala Nari near the shrine of
Fita, gas supply to Bakthyarabad, Sibi and several nearby towns was
suspended. The incidence occurred at 8pm Saturday evening.
The blast ripped a four feet section of the 18 inch gas pipeline,
suspending of natural gas supply to Sibi and nearby towns. After the
explosion the gas pipeline caught fire which was burning all night.

Rocket hits an Intelligence agency office
in Khuzdar
Baloch insurgents attacked an Intelligence agency office in Khuzdar.
Firing several rockets at the Khuzdar cantonment area late on Sunday
night.
Sources said that Baloch armed persons fired at least four rockets from
the mountains in the west of the township. The rocket hit in and around
the offices of Khuzdar intelligence agency but no loss of life reported.
Police sources said that office of a Intelligence agency was apparently
target of the attack.
It is located in the same area where the rocket landed. The local
administration concerned off the area and started investigation.

Gas pipeline blew up near Sibi
Main natural gas pipeline supplying gas to the Quetta and other parts of
the Balochistan was blown up on Saturday morning in Sibi area.
A 24-inch diameter Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC)’s main pipeline
supplying gas to Quetta and other parts of the Balochistan was blown up
when a powerful bomb exploded near it at the Damboli repeater station,
some 53km away from the capital of Balochistan, in the wee hours of
Saturday.
A major disruption was reported. Sources said Baloch insurgents had
planted a powerful bomb near the gas pipeline which went off with a big
bang, ripping apart a huge part of the main gas pipeline supplying natural
gas to Quetta and other areas of Balochistan.
After the explosion the gas pipeline caught fire which was burning all
night and the next day. The fire was so intense and big that it burnt a
100 feet long 4 feet deep crater and the flames could be seen from more
then kilometers.
The sources said due to the explosion SSGC gas control centre closed the
valves at Damboli and Shori repeater stations and supply to Lehri, Bhang
and Jhatpat areas was also affected.

damages rail tracks in Quetta Balochistan
Baloch freedom fighters blew up the main railway line in Quetta. Railway
traffic between Quetta and the rest of the country was suspended.
According to sources some unknown persons planted powerful explosive
device under railway track puli No 343 near Siryab road Quetta which
exploded on Saturday night at 7:55 am.
The explosion was so powerful around a dozen sleepers were blown up and
10-feet of the track were damaged. “High explosive was used for blowing up
the tracks,” railway police sources said.
The railway traffic between capital city and the entire country was
suspended and the Chiltan express coming from Lahore was stopped at Saryab
station. Police lodged FIR against unknown persons.

Baloch Freedom fighters attacked FC check Post near Mand by rockets and
automatic machineguns on Friday.
According to sources, armed Baloch freedom fighters fired five rockets and
opened heavy automatic fire on FC Saeed post of in Azian area some 30 Km
from Mand at 3:30am on Friday.
Two Rockets directly hit the FC (Frontier corps) check post resulting in
sever damage to it and sources believed several casualties but government
denied for any loss of life. FC retaliated in indiscriminate mortar fire
in directions. The attackers escaped successfully. No arrest has been made
so far.

Quetta cantonment hit by rocket
Quetta cantonment was rocked on Tuesday night when a rocket landed near
Chiltan Market and exploded.
Sources said the rocket fired from an unknown place hit an
under-construction flat causing panic among officials. The windowpanes of
many nearby houses and buildings were smashed.
Two cars were also damaged. Meanwhile, police recovered a live rocket from

Baloch insurgents attack FC camps in Surab
& Duki and grenade attack in Quetta
Two rockets fired at FC camp in Surab and heavy exchange of gunfire. Three
rockets were fired at a Frontier Corps checkpoint in Duki area of Loralai
district on Sunday morning. A hand grenade was hurled on the house of a
retired government officer on the Gulberg street near Zarghoon Road on
Sunday night.
According to sources Baloch insurgents fired two rockets and opened fire
with automatic weapons on a Frontier Corps FC camp in Surab near Kalat at
11pm. Heavy exchange of fire continued for half an hour, FC sustained
several casualties but are reluctant to comment on the matter.
In another incidence three rockets were fired at a Frontier Corps Hosri
Camp in Duki area of Loralai district on Sunday morning. The rockets fell
in the camp and exploded causing severe damage to camp. FC men at the camp
returned fire but the attackers escaped unharmed. No causality was
reported
While some people riding a bicycle hurled the grenade on the house of
Zafar Iqbal Awan, a retired officer of the agriculture department in
Quetta. The grenade exploded in the lawn of the house, damaging parts of

Kidnapped man killed, others set free
One of the two personnel of a construction company, who were kidnapped
from the Behecha area of Turbat district on Wednesday, was killed on
Thursday. The other was set free.
DIG Makran range Ghulam Qadir Thaboo told that the kidnappers had killed
one and released the other who told the police about the fate of his
colleague, Munawar Iqbal, resident of Jhang, Punjab.
The DIG said that heavy contingent of law-enforcement agencies have
launched search operation to arrest the kidnappers.
Sources said that a group of armed men on Wednesday attacked the site camp
of the company, which was constructing a road from Hoshab to Gwadar.
Crusher plant and other machinery were destroyed in a rocket attack. The
attackers kidnapped seven men at gunpoint, and later released five
persons, which were local Baloch's.
The police said the kidnappers took the two no local personnel and later
killed one of them and allowed the other to go, who informed the police
about the killing of Munawar Iqbal. The body had been recovered from the

Powerful Explosion outside polling station
in Mach
A powerful explosion outside a polling station rocked the Mach Township
late on Wednesday; Police Inspector said Frontier Corps personnel were
present inside the Government High School, which had been made a makeshift
polling station for third phase of the local council system.
According to reports, unidentified persons planted an explosive device
close to the levies police station and polling station. The impact of the
bomb was so severe that it brought down the walls of the police station
and smashed the windowpanes of nearby buildings.
However, there were no reports of casualties. Police said the blast was

Gas pipeline blown up near Kolpur
Monday Baloch insurgents blew up gas pipelines supplying natural gas in
Pakistan's restive Balochistan.
Two Sui Southern Gas Company pipelines running from Shikarpur to Quetta
were damaged near Kolpur at about 2:30am on Monday.
An SSGC release stated that the damages were caused by two bomb blasts.
The explosions damaged two main gas pipelines – 18 and 12 inches in
diameter – meant for the Quetta, Kalat, Pishin and Ziarat areas.
Spokesman for Pakistan's state-run Sui Southern Gas Pipeline said. The
early Monday attack damaged the gas pipelines and disrupted gas supplies
to Quetta and other parts of Balochistan, and added "Insurgents detonated
two bombs which damaged the pipelines near Kolpur area,” the bombs were
planted under the pipelines, which runs 2.6 meters deep. Repair work could
take 48-72 hours, the spokesman said.
Mean while two high voltage electric towers blown up near Sibi third
major city in Balochistan disrupting electric supply to many parts of
Balochistan.

Railway line blown up near Kotri, two
personnel wounded
A passenger train escaped disaster on Wednesday night near the Kotri
Railway Station, when a bomb exploded on the railway track minutes before
it was supposed to pass.
At least two personnel were wounded in the explosion, which blew up a
foot-long piece of the railway and left a two-foot-deep crater at the
site. “It is an act of destroyed aimed at to destroy the railway line,”
said Bachal Sangri, the regional police officer, while talking to
reporters.
Police said that the explosion occurred at around 8:30pm near Ghausia
Colony and the Kotri railway junction, minutes before the Karachi-bound
Shah Latif Express was scheduled to pass the site.
The Hyderabad Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) inspected the blast site. BDS
official Rizwan Zaidi said that the blast was carried out with a time
bomb, as they recovered remains of a timer fixed with the bomb. He said
the bomb contained almost 5 kilogrammes of explosives. Railway officials
said that at least three trains had been stopped - at Kotri and Jhimpir -
because of the bomb explosion.
Two similar bomb explosions occurred a year ago near the Kotri Railway
Station. The BDS has recovered three bombs planted at and near the same

Rockets explode in Quetta cantonment
Quetta was rocked on Sunday night when two rockets exploded in its
cantonment area, official sources said. Baloch insurgents fired two
rockets from the outskirts of the capital of Balochistan at brief
intervals.
The first rocket landed in a place near the Kach Mor with a big bang. The
second rocket, also fired from the same direction, exploded close to the
office of the National Logistic Cell (NLC) near Askari Pak area of Quetta
cantonment.

Gas line blast suspends supply to Punjab
Gas supply to Punjab was suspended on Sunday morning after a pipeline
blast near Kandhkot.
The gas supply was suspended after a pipeline of 60-inch diameter from Sui
to Punjab busted due to a powerful explosion, officials said. The police
and Rangers have cordoned off the area and started investigations.
Earlier, a powerful explosion had destroyed a gas pipeline in Tangwani
area of Jacobabad district on March 13, 2005.
Police said that unidentified attackers planted a bomb close to the
pipeline in the jurisdiction of the Ghulam Sarwar Sarki police station,
which exploded early in the morning. As a result, the gas pipeline was
completely destroyed.
Heavy contingent of police and other law enforcement agencies reached the
spot and cordoned off the area. Another powerful explosion occurred near
Garhi Hasan Canal, 50km from Shikarpur, en route PPL’s Sui Gas
Purification Plant in Sui. The explosion completely damaged the main gas

Two
wounded in powerful explosions in Kalat
Two powerful bomb explosions in historical Kalat city in Balochistan, Two
army intelligence personnel were wounded in one blast on Wednesday, said
police.
First bomb went off near a telephone exchange and an NGO office and second
near Post office in Kalat, about 165 kilometers from Quetta, the capital
of Balochistan.
The explosion near the Post office two army intelligence personnel and the
explosions also shattered window glasses of several nearby buildings.
It is worth mentioning that four devices were exploded last night in
Quetta city. Two bombs exploded in Killi Qimbrani and others were exploded
on Brewery Road. However, no casualty was reported.

Seryab road area in Quetta

Four blasts rock Quetta
Four powerful blasts rocked Quetta on Tuesday night when explosive devices
went off in different areas of the city. One of the bombs exploded close
to the house of a provincial minister.
According to reports, the first blast took place in the Killi Qambrani
area of Sariab road late in the evening. The window panes of nearby houses
were badly damaged.
The second explosion was reported in the Brewery Road area. Sources said
the bomb was planted near a house.
The third bomb exploded near the private residence of provincial Revenue
Minister Mir Mohammad Asim Kurd.
The window panes of many houses, including the minister’s home, were
shattered. No other loss was reported in the blast. The provincial
minister was not home at the time of the blast.
The fourth bomb exploded in Sabzal road near Essa Nagri. The bomb was
planted near a government office. The window pans of office and other
nearby buildings were shattered.

Powerful bomb defused in Quetta
A boy was injured when a detonator of powerful bomb exploded in the Essa
Nagri area of Quetta on Monday. However, the bomb, planted in a rainwater
drain, did not explode a senior police officer said.
He added that the bomb was defused by the bomb disposal squad. The boy had
touched the detonator which went off with a bang, injuring him. He was
admitted to Civil Hospital for treatment.
The area police found a bomb weighing one and a half kilogram in the
rainwater drain. “The bomb could not explode due to technical fault,”
police sources said. A case has been registered against unidentified

FC check post under rocket & mortar fire in
Kandhakot
Baloch freedom fighters attacked FC check post near Kandhakot with rocket
launchers and mortar shells on Monday.
A group of Baloch freedom fighters fired several rockets and mortar shells
at Baskit picket, a joint check post of the Frontier Constabulary and the
police to guard the main gas pipeline supplying gas to Karachi and Punjab
from Sui, near Kandhkot on Monday.

Electricity tower targeted in blast
Three of the four pillars of a high-tension power
supply line tower near Sakhi Sarwar on Dera-Quetta road were destroyed by
a powerful bomb on Sunday morning while five people were injured in a
blast on the Rajanpur-Kashmor border. The transmission line feeds
Balochistan tribal areas along the Punjab border.
Local Wapda officials said attackers tried to destroy
the tower number 10 of 132 KV transmission line. It was the eighth
sabotage activity in the district during the last five months and second
attempt at a power installation.
Seven people suffered injuries when a time-bomb fixed
on a bicycle exploded in front of a service station on Dera Morr in
Kashmore.
The attackers escaped successfully and the Army
personnel arrested around two dozen suspects in raids in different parts

A remote controlled bomb explosion near Kashmoor / Jacobabad area wounding
seven paramilitary rangers in of Balochistan near Sindh Punjab border.
Some unknown suspects had planted an indigenous remote-controlled bomb,

Jacobabad area.
The explosive device went off with huge bang, shattered a army truck

Two
Military Helicopters hit in Balochistan
Baloch insurgents fired upon two Military helicopter in the area of Marvad
close to Mach on Saturday, one helicopter was hit which crashed and the
second helicopter was also hit but managed to escape to safety.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the incident.

Twin explosions near Govt building in
Mastung
Two bombs exploded near government buildings on Friday night in Mastung a
town of Balochistan.
The explosions in Mastung town, 50 kilometers South of Quetta, the capital
of Balochistan, did not cause any human loss but smashed windowpanes and
collapsed walls of the government offices and a local police office.
