I can co-exist with a pig but not with a Punjabi, says Nawab Marri
Nawab Khair Baksh Marri has said he would be willing to represent only the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), and not other Baloch forces, in talks with the government.
Daily Times recently asked Nawab Marri if he would agree to talk to the government if nominated by all Baloch forces, including the BLA, as their chief negotiator. Marri answered by pointing his thumbs down.
But he added that if the BLA asked him to talk to Islamabad, as an elder of the Baloch nation, he would present his terms and conditions: the Punjabis must vacate Balochistan
“The other issues are all domestic and could be discussed later on ... I can co-exist with a pig but not with a Punjabi,” he said at his Karachi residence. When Marri was asked how he would respond to the impression that he was the real force behind Balochistan’s armed movement, he retorted with loud laughter:
“Why are you asking me to confess my guilt at this old age? If I were younger, I would not be giving you an interview. I have always said that the real fighters are the ones who are doing it with weapons. I wish I were younger so that I could go straight to the hills and fight for the Baloch cause.”
He said he was “pleased” with the BLA and did not regard Mengal’s Balochistan National Party (BNP) as a nationalist force as it did not factor in the Baloch of Iran and Afghanistan.
“The BNP does not have a majority on the mountains. God knows, it is not the BNP giving arms, shoes, support and money to those fighting in the mountains,” Marri said.

The only solution for Baloch is armed struggle, Brahimdugh Bugti
The only way to rid the Baloch of the injustices being perpetrated against them by the military is by joining the armed struggle against the government, guerrilla commander Nawabzada Brahamdag Bugti said on Friday.
In his first telephonic press conference since August 26, 2006, he extended “100 percent support” to all the militant groups operating in Balochistan, saying the only way forward for the Baloch was to stop ‘begging' for provincial autonomy and jobs from the central government. “The Baloch issue has moved past constitutional compensation. We refuse to be a part of any reconciliatory efforts in the province. Why does the government talk of reconciliation when it is still engaged in a full-fledged operation against the Baloch people,” he said.
“We are in a constant state of war. Troops recently burnt some people in the Sangsila area. We are fighting a sacred war for the attainment of just rights for the Baloch. We dislike begging for favours, as we are the masters of our land and resources. Why should we beg them (Islamabad) for granting us autonomy or ownership of our resources, as this implies that the people at the Centre, and not the Baloch, are the masters of the resources,” he said.
Not improved: Bugti, 28, claimed that the state of law and order had not improved in the Marri and Bugti tribal areas since the induction of the new government at the Centre and in Balochistan. Instead, he alleged, around 200 people had been ‘abducted' by military personnel.
He said the troops deployed outside the fort, and close to the grave of the late Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, had not yet been withdrawn, as claimed by the government. Instead, he claimed, the government had added more checkposts to the area.
To questioning, he said that his struggle sought the full independence of Balochistan. Referring to his grandfather Nawab Akbar Bugti, he said the late Nawab had talked of parliamentary politics while living within the federation of Pakistan but had been killed when he raised his voice for the right of ownership. He said the new wave of armed struggle in Balochistan was different from the ones waged in the past because this time an overwhelming majority of the Baloch supported the movement.
“They know that armed struggle is justified if it can protect the Baloch land from the injustices of the military. Many Baloch are not part of the struggle but they don't oppose us. We enjoy their moral support and are sure they will join us one day,” he added.
On a question about the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA)'s targeted killings of policemen and Punjabi settlers, he said such attacks were inevitable in the wake of the violence being perpetrated against the Baloch.
Bugti said he had decided to rename the Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) into the Baloch Republican Party (BRP), as the situation in the province had completely changed since the founding of the party in 1988. He claimed that the current atmosphere was not conducive for carrying out a democratic struggle. He said all the political parties of Balochistan should unite under a single platform, adding that otherwise they were all just wasting their time.
He said the Baloch fighters led by him had not received any external assistance for their struggle. “The only international support we have is from the media, as some international media organisations sometimes give us coverage. But we need more international moral support, especially from the United Nations,” he added. 04.06.08

BLA critecised the chief minister of Balochistan’s Nawab Raisani,s comments made the previous day in a confrence held by imegrent Punjabis in Balochistan whereby to please the Punjabis the chief minister used unethical and undignified language against Baloch freedom fighters.
BLA strongly condemned chief ministers cheap stunt in order to please his masters and the BLA enlightened the press and the public with the ground realities of the conflict in Balochistan.
BLA stated that the chief minister considers us to be terrorist as the Punjabi army does, this does not bother us. The only loser is the chief minister who had liltle respect in the past which he has lost now.
The BLA was very concerned about why the chief minister has taken such a strong stance against the Baloch victims and not against the Punjabi oppressor.
The BLA was also surprised to the fact that the chief minister does not even know that the Punjabi army of Pakistan is commeting genocide in the Marri and Bugti areas of Balochistan, he seems to be so excited and self consumed at being the chief minister that he is unaware of the world around him. 31.05.08

The Baloch nation observes a “Black day”on the 10th anniversary of Pakistan’s destructive nuclear test on Baloch soil in1998.
Baloch nationalist parties and student organisations observed a ‘black day’ on Wednesday on the 10th anniversary of Pakistan’s first nuclear tests.
Rallies against N-tests were held in Quetta, Khuzdar, Mastung, Dalbandin, Chagai, Kalat, Gwadar and other towns of Balochistan.
In Quetta, the Baloch Students Organisation, BNF and Anjuman Ittehad Marri took out processions
People in the procession carried banners and placards inscribed with anti-nuclear slogans. A large number of women and children took part in the processions.

They claimed that radiation emitted by the blasts had affected health of many people in the Chagai area and the government did nothing to provide medical treatment to such people.
They said on the one hand the government wanted reconciliation with the Baloch people, but on the other it continued the military operation in the province. Hundreds of people, including political workers and leaders were still missing or in jails, they said, adding that BNF president Ghulam Mohammad Baloch and Wahab Baloch had been taken into custody by intelligence agencies in Karachi.
They said the Baloch people had nothing to do with the reconciliation efforts and they would not compromise on their rights and would continue their struggle.
The speakers urged Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani to stop the handing over of a political activist, Ghulam haider Raisani, to Iran.
The activists of the Baloch Students Organisation took out a procession from the Science College and later gathered outside the Quetta Press Club.
Addressing the protesters, BSO chairman Mohyuddin Baloch, vice-chairman Changaiz Baloch, Javed Baloch and Ataullah Baloch described the nuclear blasts as an “act against humanity”.
They urged the United Nations and other international organisations to send medical teams for providing treatment to the people affected by radiation in the Chagai area. 29.05.08

The 10 anniversary of Balochisan’s second greatest catastrophe, Pakistan occupied Balochistan in 1948 in order to subdue the Baloch nation, exploit its resources and deploy its excess population into the main land of the Baloch nation in 1947.
And in the 4th coming years it exercised every means in order to alienate and eliminate exterminate the Baloch nation but the Punjabi nation did not succeed in its mission, therefore it devised a new program for the supremacy of the Punjabis in Balochistan in order to obtain its ultimate goal of conquering the landmass of Balochistan.
The Punjabis embarked on the most evil of missions, which is to destroy the Baloch nation through means of nuclear radiation, thus it carried out its experimental nuclear tests in Balochistan on the 28th of May 1998
Today the Baloch nation has come to the realization that the Punjabis have to be dealt with an iron fist in order to preserve the identify of Baloch nation and in order to secure Balochsitan from the new colonialist Punjabis, thus they have released that the only solution to our problem is a revolution which embodies the expulsion of punjbais from our mother land.

Britain should stop trying to prove that the secular Baloch are terrorists rather it should investigate into the criminal acts and acts of state terrorism perpetrated by Pakistan and its fundamentalist army in Balochistan.
The establishments of Iran and Pakistan have embarked on genocide of the Baloch nation, solely for their vested economic interests.
Baloch student organization BSO (Azad) will protest and display the Baloch peoples power against the colonial and anti-Baloch policies of United Kingdom and Iran on the 18th of May
Pakistan and Iran, in order to pursue their gas pipeline project and to materialize other economic interests in Balochistan, have made Balochistan into a war zone and have made the Baloch nation their scapegoat. For example innocent Ghulam Haider Raisani is being handed over to Iran for execution.
Scotland yard team arresting Hyrbiyar Marri and Faiz Baloch in London upon the wishes of Musharraf and their latest venture of coming to Pakistan as instructed by Musharraf to gather evidence against Hyrbiyar Marri is shameful. Britan should stop being Musharraf,s poodle.
The team should have come to Pakistan in order to investigate the human rights violation, state terrorism, by Pakistan and Musharraf in Balochistan and importantly the Scotland Yard team should have come to investigate into the use of chemical weapons and conventional weapons given by the UK to Pakistan against Taliban and Al-Qaeda , than they would come to know that most of their weapons were used against the Baloch.
Baloch student organization (BSO) considers Hyrbiyar Marri as Baloch nations sincere sympathizer and considers Ghulam Haider innocent. On 18th of May Balochistan wide protest will be held against the British government’s anti Baloch attitude and its partnership with Musharraf to victimize and persecute the Baloch. 08.05.17
