From: Salman khalid Location and Date : Lahore 6/07/01 If he have a graduate degree then it is a point of sorrow for me, i strongly recommend to Atta Ullah Mengal to take admission in University , he will found that there are some students who take admission just to play their politics. I am also in a university (UET, Lahore) where there is a retired army general as vice chancellor. I feel a great change now. Today my university have a great discipline and friendly atmosphere. No firing, no strike for past 3 years. Students of University of Balochistan feel a great changed atmosphere soon. Good luck my friends. After having graduated from that University of yours provided it is not for Punjabis only. I would definitely join your school of thoughts. I hope you will have me recommended for admission to ISI.In case I am left as ignorant as I am, I might opt for an Indian or an Israeli General,rather than a Pakistani Bastard,to teach me discipline. Dear Salman Khalid, I think u don't know about the atrocities upon oppressed nation. why Atta Ullah Mengal take admission in university, because this universeity under the army and ISI. Attaullah Mengal himself an university if you want to learn you must join and take some classes by Attaullah Mengal. Mr Khalid, Attaullah Mengal and Altaf Hussain are not ignorant people, they have millions fallower they trut them and ond day will be come than you accept their Ideology and Philospy. I live in Lahore over here no one wants to talk in Urdu let alone Balochi these ignorant people don’t even know where is Balochistan, a few times I have been asked if it is in Iran or Afghanistan. They who know that I am a Baloch treat me like third class citizen. I have to talk to them in Punjabi to make my self understood. In Balochistan I never heard a Punjabi speaking or even knowing a few words of Balochi Bhrawhi or Pashtoo. Over here you have to know Punjabi to get a job otherwise (I have been told to get lost). So my friends Punjabis are not that sweet as a few supporters of Punjab make it seemed. We should stand by each other like they do. And providing educational facility does not full fill the rights , Balochistan is like ignored child who is used when they need him. There are those that have written in and have said that we have the same rights as the Punjabis. I think not. You just have to look at the differences between the two provinces to see how we (the people of Balochistan) are so underprivileged, compared to the masters (Punjabis), who live profitable lives. And they live as they do by reaping in wealth that does not rightfully belong to them. If Punjabis really think that we (Baloch) are on an equal stance as they are, then let them prove it by giving us what is rightfully ours. They say that by developing the port at Gwader will improve matters. This is a completely and utterly misguided claim. The port will be created to settle yet more army generals, it will not be developed for the wellbeing of the people in that area. Nor will Balochistan as a whole, benefit from this monstrosity that is being created there. This development is to please the Chinese and to blackmail the Americans. The port will be for Punjab by the Punjab and it will remain with the Punjab if we do not stick together and stop accusing our own people for the dismal lives that we lead. The port will be turned into a strategic military base, because of its location. China will benefit because it will have a military presence in that region and America is being blackmailed because of the sanctions imposed on Pakistan. America will feel threatened by a communist country (China) gaining any kind of military power in such an important position as Gwader. Pakistan is hoping that by letting China build a port for military use, America will ease up on his sanctions. If you think that what I have said is unjust then you will soon see what will happen once the port is completed. It will not be to long to wait, and once it is completed there is no chance for us (Baloch) to have any kind of claim to it. We will watch as they loot our motherland as they have been doing for so many years and then we will start crying. But by then it will be much to late.

Name: Mr. Baloch Comment:If any of you, who say that Baloch's have and get the same rights as pakistanis (punjabis) then you need to go open up your eyes, and learn some facts about how pakistan came to be. It didn't come to be by bravery of any muslims or hindus or anyone else for that matter. It came to be because punjabis were always 'chamcha" of the british. They were always ready to pass on their daughters, wifes' and mothers to please the powerful whites. British never had any problems in controling india, because of one reason, and that was punjabis. They had problem... as a mater of fact, a lot of trouble controling Balochistan. These british, the biggest force in the entire world at the time, had lost battles with Baloch's who faught with swords against their guns. As they say, if you can't kill them by force, then kill them by friendship, and Balochs welcomed anyone, no mater what relegion or race they were. Once they were within baloch's they started breaking them apart and made! baloch's fight against each other, which make them weak, but still not weak enough for British to completely take over them. For your information, Jinah (the so called Father of pakistan) was the lawyer of "Khan of Kallat", he 'pushed' him into combining with the so-called Pakistan, Because it was created in the name of Islam. If you are a punjabi, and say that you're not treated any better than the rest of the nation, then you're the biggest lier in the world. For just a couple of examples, goto punjab, Where else in pakistan do you see Highways and roads connecting every city in punjab. In Balochistan, there's hardly any roads in cities like Turbat or Pisni. The pakistani Army... How many Balochs, sindhis and Muhajars do you see in there? I'll tell you, around 1% if not less. There's a so-called Baloch regiment in the Pakistani Army, but how many Balochs do you see in there? None. When you ask these questions to the punjabi(pakistani) govt. they say, that the punjabis are Balochistani citizens, so they can be in Baloch regiments. Tell me if that's fair. If you say yes, then you should get a glass of water and drown yourself in it. Go to punjab, speak Urdu, and ask them for directions, they'll misdirect to 5 miles away from where you're standing, while the place you're asking for is right around the corner. I'm saying this by experience, so don't give me that Bull about baloch's being treated the same. Balochistan is a Mineral rich province, with patrolium and sui gas and all that other good stuff. Sui gas (natural gas) came out of Balochistan, yet it was the last to get it. Punjab was the first to get it. Goto punjab, tell me how many times there's load shading. Goto punjab look at the transportation busses. Goto Punjab..... and observe, then tell me that Balochs get the same treatment as punjabis, but until then, keep your mouth shut.

What's next, instead of Army / ISI, you all will ruled by your Sardars', Waderas' and Jageerdars' army!!! An independent state will only be good for the riches of the state. Take a look a Bangladesh for example, people who got richer after independence were the one who were involved in politics (Many of them I personally know). Has the social indicators for that country changed - i don't think so ? On the other hand, India is exploiting it as its annexed market. Indian products are cheaper in the street of Dhaka then their local equivalents. The local industry will never thrive because of a huge hegemonic neighbour. There is a huge trade imbalance with India, which they are trying to manage by selling Natural Gas to India. Oh by the way, this is one of the reasons they enjoy preference in US's textile market. The company involved in their Gas exploration is Unocal (a US company). We need to wake up, educate ourselves and empower the poeple. Discussions on this site should be regarding decentralization, rather than provicial independence. I have a suggestion for the youths of Balochs, Sindhis, Punjabis, Pashtoons, and Mohajirs (I didin't say Pakistanis because we are still a long way from there). Volunteer just two hour of your time and try to work for the betterment of your respective race, just educate them. Trust me, you will all get what you are fighting for.....

We can look at historical maps and see that Balochistan has been included in these maps by many foreign observors as independent state. At the moment this does not matter to outsiders who are trying to impose their control.However, in the long run both of these states can not survive because they were artficially made and now they are in an economic crisis (Pakistan even worse then Iran). They both do not have any strong way of controlling. Even if any exra funds do make it, the two states just use it for military in order to control the people. There is no social benefits what so ever. Where is the dreams of making Pakistan an Islamic states that will benefit the people, there is none because they are spending nothing on the minorities ( more specifically the Baloch ). Iran is even worse, their hatred for the Sunni is very extreme. But Pakistan atleast should have been a bit better, but they are just as worse.
