Four dead as Bugti, Mazari tribesmen clash

SUKKUR: Four people including a teenager were killed in an armed clash between Bugti and Mazari tribes near Kashmore on Tuesday.

According to the reports reaching here the trouble started when some armed men kidnapped Ghulam Nabi Esani Mazari and Abdul Nabi from Dargah Ghulam Faqir near Kashmore.

After the incident Bugti tribesmen started firing on Mazari tribesmen, who also returned fire. The firing continued for two-and-a-half hour, which resulted in the killing of Sharif Mazari, Muhammad Nawaz Marhato and a teenaged boy of Bugti tribe, whose name could not be ascertained.

A woman, who was going to Sui, was also killed in the cross-fire, while a Levies mobile, which was passing from the area also came under fire and reportedly, a Levies sepoy was injured. The Levies and other law-enforcement agencies have cordoned off the whole area and were trying to arrest the culprits. 29.1.02

6 killed, 5 hurt in Mastung firing incident

QUETTA: Six persons including Abdul Kahliq Lango the Senior Vice President of Balochistan National Movement (BNM) were killed and five other injured when a group of armed men opened fire on them in Mastung, some 50 km from here on Tuesday morning. All the six person belonging to Lango tribe died on the spot as they received several dozens bullets on different parts of their bodies, doctors said.

The injured were rushed to civil hospital Mastung where two of them were admitted while three others were shifted to Quetta due to their serious condition. According to sources Abdul Kaliq Lango was on his way to Mastung in a pick up along-with his younger brother and eight other persons of his family coming from Mangochar to attend the hearing of a murder case in session court.
When their pick up reached between Elementary College and Session Court Mastung around 15 armed men sitting in two vehicles opened indiscriminate fire with automatic weapons resulting in killing of six persons on the spot including Abdul Khaliq Lango and his younger brother.

Five other persons including two passer-by were also received bullet injuries in the indiscriminate fire of the armed men. The armed men after achieving their target escaped from the scene in two vehicles, which were parked at roadside near Elementary Collage.
Eyewitness said that these armed men were waiting for their wanted people for about one house and when the required pick up reached there they pumped dozens of bullet in their bodies and escaped toward Mastung sports stadium.
Local administration and police official rushed to the site of incident and removed all the victims to the local hospital where doctors confirmed death of six persons while five injured were given treatment later three injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta, as their condition was serious.

The cause of tragic incident was an old enmity between two rival groups of the Lango tribe settled in Mangochar area of Kalat district, SHO Mastung Murtaza Shah said adding that our years ago unknown people murdered the young son of Abdul Khaliq in the area.
A case was registered in this connection and some of the people were arrested. Later last year the Lango in the FIR and he arrested in this connection and latter last year the son of Lango tribe Sardar Nasir was killed near Kalat.
The father of the deceased nominated Abdul Khaliq Lango in the FIR and he arrested in this connection and latter released on bail. He was coming to Mastung for attending hearing of murder case of Nasir Lango but before reaching to the court he was killed along-with five others family members.

Police has registered case against unknown-armed men on the report of Hukam Dad who also injured in the firing. No arrest was reported in this connection so far.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Khaliq, Ghulam Mustafa, Mohammad Islam, Mohammad Hasan, Ali Hasan and Mohammed Azam. While injured include Abdul Rauf, Saleem Akbar, Wazir Mohammad and Noor Ahmed.
