Now-a-days there is a very forceful debate going on in various newspapers, journals, political circles and in different classes that under the prevailing circumstance the Baloch needs a united platform. Various intellectuals, learned and political workers have overtly expressed their views. Everyone has informed in his own way the importance and needs of the Baloch united front. 

Before going into details we should analyze minutely the difference between a genuine nationalist and a so-called nationalist and the existing difference should be elucidated clearly. There should be criteria for the nationalists to determine nationalism and measure up to it. A prominent Baloch leader asserted in a convention that there were no nationalist’s leaders in Balochistan. 

He further told that even if there were any nationalists they were a few. All are nationalist by name, and in order to reach the assembly the slogans of nationalism are used.  We should look into the character and role of the nationalist parties. When they have their own interest they befool the nation in the name of nationalism and patriotism. 

The people elected them to assemblies several times on these slogans. These leaders become nationalist during the election and afterwards they forget nationalism and patriotism, Balochistan National Movement BNM and Balochistan National Democratic Party BNDP call themselves the real nationalist parties today but we should study their role they have played in the past. On whose directions and indications they have become nationalists and what are their actual aim and intentions. So for as I know they have been brought into the nationalist political arena through conspiracy by establishment and State agencies. 

They are being used to create hurdles in the way of Sardar Attaullah Mengal and Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri. The Balochistan National Movement (BNM) and Balochistan National Democratic Party (BNDP) are getting merged just to foil the real nationalists and to hush the voice for formation of united Baloch National Front. A number of questions arise, whether because of merger of BNM and BNDP, will they be able to bring prosperity to Baloch Nation? Will they be able to get Baloch rights? Will they be able to stop the farcical development of Gwadar and the rest of Balochistan? Will they be able to avert military operation in Balochistan? 

I don’t think so. They want to make a party not to endeavor for the rights of oppressed Baloch masses they have nothing to do with Baloch miseries, this party is being formed on instructions of agencies and establishment to counter balance nationalist forces in Balochistan and it is in their interest to be a part of the greater game which PPP and PMLQ are already playing. They want to expand their party; they will hold large processions in Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi. They will assemble large crowds of people. As this is their agenda and they need not form another party because there already exist the PMLQ and PPP. They should enter into alliance with these parties and hold big processions in Lahore and Rawalpindi. 

Since their aim is to make a countrywide party, and struggle for Baloch rights then a question arises how are they going to convince the masses of Punjab to vote for them and elect them to power when this party is supposed to defend the interests of Baloch and Balochistan, if they are planning to get the rights of ownership of Oil, Gas and other natural resources for Baloch on which the welfare of Punjab depends, if they plan to stop Punjabi invasion on Balochistan and stop Punjabi mega exploitations  which are in the interests of Punjab. Why then the Punjabi masses would vote for them. It shows that this is not on their agenda to speak or fight for the rights and interests of Baloch from the platform of this party. Then this is just a drama they are playing to trick us Baloch into getting our support to drive us over the cliff into the Persian gulf to our end. 

When overtures for the formation of a Baloch united front began comprising real nationalist leaders, BNM & BNDP started campaigning for their own merger so that they might turn aside the eyes of masses from the importance of formation of Baloch united front. But they badly failed in doing so because the people are well aware of their role and share in the field of nationalism with reference to their performance in past and present and their future machinations. The people also know well the aims and objectives they are required to furnish and the interests they are required to serve. 

Why the BNM and other parties do not negotiate with Balochistan National Party? And why are they afraid of formation of proposed Baloch united front under leadership of Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri, Sardar Attaullah Mengal and Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti. 

The proposed united front is not being formed against BNM or any other party, whereas it is being formed to stop the plundering of Baloch National resources, Oil and Gas, occupation of Baloch coast and the conducting of military operation in Balochistan. it is being formed to unite the Baloch people so that the Baloch may be able to offer resistance to the oppressors.
